  • Works as advertised

I bought this, along with an iExpand drive to able to view sentry events while I was still on location. I also wanted to be able to download vids on scene if (heaven forbid) I ever needed to. I followed the instructions for formatting the drive and everything works as advertised. I had a few questions so contacted the developer through the app. Response was timely and informative. I actually bought 2 iExpand drives so that I can swap them out occasionally and reformat from my PC. This works better for me than trying to use the in-app delete function. Plus it ensures that drives are refreshed regularly.

  • Can’t even connect to Sandisk so wasted money.

So ridiculously impossible to use it’s wasted money on app and the drive.
  • Seriously glitchy app

Downloaded this app and bought a ixpand flash drive on recommendation of a youtuber Terri White, i believe. Unfortunately this app is as glitchy and frustrating as they get. I have iphone 6 ( yes, believe it or not some people still use old phones) but the app doesn’t seem to work on it. Maybe it works on latest iphones, i don’t know, but not to support 6 is ridiculous, imo. Requested refund from apple. I will buy again and happily change my rating if and when developers fix stupid UI/UE issues.

  • Solid App, Excellent Support

This app does what it says. Yes it’s expensive, so was your Tesla, get over it. What’s even better is the support. I had an issue with the app functions, so I sent an email to support and received a response within minutes. It’s a great way to conduct yourself and I appreciate and respect the effort these guys make.

  • Buggy & glitchy but maybe iXpand?

In theory great but given up using iXpand drive because too glitchy, disconnects and app freezes. Not that user friendly or quick to do quick review.
  • Something worth the money

Someone had recently broke my car window and tried to open the trunk and I wished I had this app. This incident led me search the suitable app and SentryView especially for iPhone users is a great one. It not o it records the video during parking but also records the video while driving which is for sure great help when it comes to accident or red light violation. And connecting usb over WiFi is a best way so that you dnt have to wait until you can get access to computer
    A must recommend app

  • Dash cam for Duffy’s like me.

I bought the WiFi USB and first time I downloaded the app it didn’t work the app didn’t recognise the USB name. Why do designers insist on confusing things using 0s or Os in the name? don’t use them please there are nine other numbers and twenty five other letters you can use.

When I eventually got it going and linked up it works well but a lot more instructions for dummies like me would help and pictures even mini videos would be welcome on you tube. If a picture is worth a 1000 words a short video is worth a whole manual.

I found 62 clips in the waste basket which I cleared out (probably didn’t need to but I don’t know) anyway scrubbing them took an age.

I’m sure one 10 minute video on ‘you tube’ would clear this all up. Went with WiFi cause I don’t have a computer and don’t want one.

  • Great App

The people who gave bad reviews don’t know what they are talking about...great app and really easy to use 👍
  • Garbage app

This app is waste of money. Doesn’t work at all. I have the right USB stick but it still doesn’t work. Keeps kicking me out of the app.

  • Needs to support latest iPads

Love Stats. Don’t love this. I have an iPad Pro with USB-C, and a SanDisk drive with dual USB-C abd USB 3 “old style” male connectors. It’s perfect for this use case, as no mucking around with WiFi is needed, and plugs into anything and mounts with no adaptors. My iPad and Model 3 both love it, but this app has no idea what to do with it.

I write this in hopes that a future update will allow any USB drive that is plugged into an iPad that is formatted with FAT32 and has a TeslaCam folder will be recognized and read. It seems like an easy thing, but knowing Apple, getting access to a mounted drive on an iPad is probably a Byzantine thing, if for no other reasons than to prevent security problems from cropping up. I hope you can work your magic and make it work. As for now, my investment in this app is useless.

The app clearly states the required USB drives. You may be interested in “DashCam Viewer for Tesla” app if you want to use other storage devices.
