Clearly rushed, unfinished game
What’s Good: Great graphics. Sincerely appreciate their mission of blending entertainment and education.
What’s bad: Unfortunately, a lot. Managed to play through the whole game despite multiple lost saves and crashes. Mission objectives and radar can be extremely glitchy and frustrating - randomly disappearing at times. Game was surprisingly short (is that it?), and story was ultimately unrewarding - why did I sit through huge amounts of forced dialogue if it has no bearing on the outcome? (miners? Nana w/ dementia?, co-workers daughter’s mixtape? Smh...)
For a “premium” title I was expecting more, but perhaps they could reboot another version with a better story after some proper QA and testing.

It’s great but...
I enjoyed this game very much. I like the ability to scan the animals and learn about them but I think you should be able to scan the flora too. Also I found that the Ocean Sunfish and Moon Jellies don’t actually appear in game but their scan markers do. Just a minor bug. Also I can’t help but wish that this game was a bit longer. Seemed very short to me

Brilliant game with plenty to see, have been waiting ages for a game like this!!! Had no problem saving the game until completion. My only regrets was the game wasn’t bigger and I think a bigger map to explore with more species to find would make this game the greatest!!! Plus chuck some danger in there, great white shark or moray eel. Well worth a go for anyone 👍

Excellent game; so realistic, you learn a lot about the animals that you are tracking too, controls are a abit weird to start off with but once ya know, ya fine!
it’s such a peaceful game to play however, they need more missions, in different places, this was in the west pacific, i believe, so it would be amazing to maybe go to Australia to the Great Barrier Reef or the Indian Ocean....so just something to think about 😁

Absolutely adored it!
This was the first game that introduced me to Apple Arcade and I loved it! However I do wish there was more! I finished it in 2 days. Visually stunning and was a great way to introduce real life problems regarding the ocean into game format.

So beautiful
This game is truly amazing. It's stunningly beautiful and thoughtfully crafted and really gives a new appreciation to ocean life and the creatures within it. I hope to see a Beyond Blue II one day as I want to see more of this story and more of the ocean! Thank you for creating this game!
AMAZING!
I just wished the game was longer. I loved it so much I wasn’t ready for it to end. I wanted to know more of Rens story, learn more about the different animals and find some new fishy friends. I can’t fault the game at all. So beautiful!
This game is absolutely stunning
My heart goes out the the scientists and producers that were involved in the making of this emotional little game. All I can say is that if you want a new appreciation for the ocean and insight on just what we’re doing to our planet, you need to play this.
One of the most meaningful, educational, calming, beautiful games I’ve ever played.
Please make more on the same. The world needs more beauty.

After the update of the save progress issue I was happy to continue playing. Didn’t think it would end just an hour or so later. It’s a good concept. I wish there was a bit more interaction with animals. The game could be way more extensive and in depth with more creatures and maybe a progress bar to studying different things and behaviors. Maybe scan so many to unlock all these different traits of each animal. Maybe have a time limit of air supply. It’s a great start though can’t wait too see future updates.
