Never Alone is my favorite game of all time and I may just be one of its biggest fans. I was completely blown away by every aspect of it, I was fascinated by every cultural insight, and learning about Iñupiat culture even changed the way I view our world. Therefore, when I found out that E-Line Media created a new game called Beyond Blue, I didn’t hesitate to download it. However, after starting to play this, I became disappointed. It starts out with a story that isn’t really all that interesting, and then you are introduced to your tasks, which are tedious and boring. All you do during your dives is swim towards buoys, record marine animal calls, and scan marine life. I would have deleted this game right then if it was by virtually any other developer, but I really wanted to give this one a chance because E-Line Media created it. So I completed the dive and then I entered the submarine. Before you get to your next dive, you have to partake in a boring conversation. When I finally started the next dive, it was the same kinds of tasks as the previous one, and then I deleted the game.

🐋 🌊 New favorite game on Apple Arcade
I thought this game was beautiful from the start. When I played, it was just so beautiful and eye-opening to the threats we pose to our oceans, and how we can help.
I don’t know what else to say- normally for Apple Arcade games, if I write a review, I usually list the pros and cons of the app. I would do it for this, but Beyond Blue is practically flawless, except for the fact it crashed maybe 2 or 3 times while I played it. It is a game that’s really fun, but perhaps could be longer. And I know, you devs worked so hard on this to make it realistic. And I appreciate that. But maybe in the future, I don’t know, add it to where you can still swim around? After you come back in the end to see that the whale is an auntie? Maybe you could scan the new baby and swim around with them. Besides that, LOVE THIS GAME. Would replay it -that’s saying a lot, I normally get bored replaying games- and I just want to say a giant THANK YOU! To all of the marine biologists in our world, helping our oceans. -Kiwi

Fantastic concept
I love this game, it’s so well thought out the beautifully presented. Unfortunately it keeps force closing and I now can’t progress. I think got as far as level 4. It force closed at the end of each level and now when I try and play it only runs for around 3 seconds before closing. Brand new iPad Air 3 I’ve only had for couple of days.

Love this game!
Absolutely couldn’t get over how good this game was & the graphics. I honestly loved it the best game I’ve ever played I enjoyed the story line, but wish the game was longer that’s the only downfall how short the game was. It took me 2 days to complete it I honestly never played anything like it & it was amazing!

Loved it. Interesting and unique
Never played anything quite like this. Very well put together, interesting and informative. More like a simulation than a game, but that’s a complement and gives the majority of us who will never experience diving in the open ocean a little glimpse in to that world. Didn’t experience and glitches or bugs. Doesn’t take too long to complete. Well done!

Amazing
I would give this game more than 5 stars if I could. It was such an amazing game to play, and there was a lot of gameplay compared to the other arcade games. Plus, the graphics were stunning. Also, the whole feel of the game was very relaxing and you were free to do what you wanted. There was no pressure to finish the game, you could just swim for hours and it felt very very calming.

Great, with niggles
Great game, insightful and really relaxing to play. I competed it, which was a surprise and was then disappointed because it was over!
Down side of the game is that none of the interactions in the sub work, apart from the music player, and in the last 3rd of the game, it crashed after every sequence.
I hope it get debugged, and expanded to other oceans, or this ‘project’ is expanded out further.

Love it but...
This is the type of game I’ve been waiting to come out. Before the release I had an urge to find an underwater game just like this, so when it came out I was so excited. It crashes for me after the first day when Mirai is in the sub, and also after the last update, I played for about an hour/two for it to crash and lose ALL my data and throw me back to the submarine part and keep crashing. I have such high hopes and pray you will fix these bugs and make an auto save feature where it saves more frequently so no one else can get frustrated about lost data and end up losing the motivation to play.
