  • BEST APP EVER

LOVEEE this app is so easy to use and the trainers are super helpful and nice! would definitely recommend training with Coach Daniel Di Grande he has made my fitness life so fun and easy
  • I’m finally accountable! Great app

One of the biggest things I’ve always struggled with is getting the motivation to go to the gym, and I’ve have physical personal trainers in the past but they are just so dang expensive. Kickoff gives me a real person to be accountable to (other than myself), allows for real-time coach feedback, and the leadership of Kickoff is honest and genuinely helpful. Since starting with Kickoff, I’ve lost 30 lbs and definitely made a lot of progress with building muscles - I can see my bicep veins now! 😊😊

Thanks for the feedback. This issue has multiple dimensions - there was a outright bug that we fixed and then there are issues with exercises that sound almost identical but are slightly different exercises. So our system thinks the client has never done it before, but from the client's perspective, they have. We have put out some fixes for the latter issue recently as well! There's more to do to suggest weights and reps better and we're continuing to work on that!
  • Great tool to stay motivated.

The platform is phenomenal to stay consistent. The app is intuitive and inviting. Prior to kickoff I was already very active with going to the gym, rock climbing, hiking, and backpacking. However, having someone to organize me, reinforce the basics, and keep me accountable has been incredibly welcomed.

Jessi Harrington is my personal trainer. She does a phenomenal job keeping up with all my goals and ensuring my progress is in mind. She’s added some amazing workouts that I haven’t considered which is definitely adding to my success.

Overall I’m a big advocate and would consider this for any lifestyle or anyone who wants to achieve more.

  • Very Helpful

Mary Beth has been very helpful to keep me motivated. She works great around my busy schedule and doesn’t make me feel bad when I need to move workouts around. Without her I wouldn’t be still coming to the gym every week. Highly recommend her!
  • Great support

I love the fact that the program is created just for me. All of the exercise and dietitian. Suggestions are made with my personal circumstances in mind. My coach is always on hand and is very helpful in dealing with anything that might come up or any area in which I want to work on further. The money is well worth spent.

  • Not worth it

Its a good app/experience if your looking for Someone to text you with what you next workout is, and copy paste the same workout every week. But i f you are looking to get results i wouldn't recommend it since your progress isn't monitored and its “not worth their time”. All the weights are automatically increased and it is not analyzed by the “coach”. Instead of 100 USD monthly i would recommend buying a $100 workout plan which is good for at least 3-4 months or just find free online routines, you'll monitoring you progress anyways. App is very glitchy too and crashes multiple times during the workout.

Hate to hear about this poor experience. It does not sound like you got anywhere near the quality of service we are aiming for. I'd love to make it right - please email me at john@trainwithkickoff.com. -John Gardner, Founder and CEO
  • Honest Trainer Review

Here’s the deal. The idea behind the app is great. The way it’s ran is far from that… For my trainers it’s basically a funnel program for Kickoff to gain your leads and clients from you with the promise of “marketplace clients” from them. Well the marketplace clients never come because of all the “tests” you as a trainer have to pass which are kind of silly tbh. And even if you do everything they ask you, you still fail.

From a client aspect. This is a great app I’ll stand by that but it could be ran much better. The workouts aren’t as great as you’ll find elsewhere for the pricing.. if I was a client I’d try to look elsewhere until they can improve their app.

We're sorry the onboarding process didn't work out - we have a lot of steps in the process to make absolutely sure the fit is perfect for the coach, for Kickoff, and for our clients. We know it's a lot of hurdles to jump, but the coaches who make it all the way through do a great job and find a lot of success.
  • This gosh darn app — I love it!

I just want to say that between the coach who reached out to me (Brian) and this gosh darn little app, I finally have the exercise routine that I have tried (and failed) and tried again (and failed again) to do for the last 35 years. I used to think "There's no way I could consistently wake up at 5:30 AM to work out" and now at 5:15 AM my legs get restless, as if my stupid body wants me to get up and get going.

In all seriousness, though, it's a good thing, and I'm grateful to Coach Brian and the developers of Kickoff.

  • Intuitive, flexible, and streamlined

I was very skeptical about a personal training app but I live about 30 minutes from a gym so I wanted to try something. So far my expectations have been exceeded. The initial meeting with trainer, Dr. Brian Boyle, was really helpful, a lot of back and forth questions and answers. Today was my first workout, and I thought the training plan itself was tough enough and varied enough.

I was impressed by the app itself. It sounds like it’s glitchy or has other problems, according to other reviews. But I had no problems, and I don’t even have WiFi out where I exercise. I thought it was pretty straightforward, with clear instructions and videos (and several alternatives for each exercise, to match whatever equipment you may or may not have). It times you and walks you through the whole circuit.

Not sure yet if I will reach my goals, but if I don’t, I don’t think it will Dr. Boyle’s or Kickoff’s fault.

  • Trainer perspective of kickoff

I’ve been training clients through kickoff for over a year now. I love the flexibility of being able to work from home while also being a stay at home mom. I’m able to individualize my clients workouts and send meal suggestions/feedback on their food choices. I feel I’m able to help many different people across many different levels which keeps things fun and interesting for myself. The only drawback I’ve had is the calorie/macro tracking. I give my clients a range to stay within, but it is up to the client to figure out what macros/calories are in each food item, which makes it a little challenging for the client when tracking food. Overall, it’s a great platform and I love being able to help people on their fitness journey ☺️
