  • The game of no agency

The game is fun until chapter six then it collapses into a cesspool. There is no game here. There are admittedly nice cut scenes. But the game is nothing more than making some battle selections and letting the rng play out. The problem is you can make the exact same selections and either do well or poorly. The further problem is both doing poorly and well costs you, you have to aim for mediocre battle results which again you have little to no control over. I hope Apple pulls this one off the App Store.

  • A strong story, a weak game

This is more of a story than a game. The game mechanism is fairly simple, once you found the know-how, the level is quite easy to beat. But the story is a touching one. A elder brother makes a game to motivate his younger sibling and make him happy. I can’t help to image that maybe there’s real life story behind the game.

Besides the “gameplay” is a weak part for this game, there’s another unusual approach. There’re 4 different art styles existing in this game. It is not too much of a problem, but it will cause some exception issues. For instance, the game starts with a 3D cut sense to tell a story. Then as a player, my exception will be this should be a 3D game. But when it goes to the battle, it actually is a 2D one. From my personal experience at the time, I am surprised and slightly disappointed. Besides that, the main menu uses doodle style and 8-bit pixel for menu items. It adds more visual misalignment from my point of view.

For the lovers of this game, I don’t think they will not care about the drawbacks I mentioned. Because the story and great cut senses are the key motivation to them. But for common gamers, this game might bore you quickly.

  • 5 stars

This game was great I beat it in one day it was super addicting and it had a great story no glitches, no problems, nothing it was a super great game
  • Game doesn’t save

Every time I leave the game and start playing again it starts from the beginning and I’m back on chapter one. It doesn’t allow me to skip to a previously completed chapter although I go to the chapters menu and try to select it.
  • kind of neat, kind of tedious

I enjoyed this game well enough up until the last level, when it just became too random and tedious and I gave up; according to other reviews, I didn’t miss much. Regardless, it’s kind of interesting to see a game that is basically about game testing.
  • Enjoyable but short

An interesting spin on a normal rpg where the goal here is to be the adversary to your brother and get him to win, but with remaining hp low as possible by sending different monsters at him.
  • I love it so addicting 😍😍😍

I got so addicted to it that when ever I thought of playing another game I always think no after this story play or battle. But there are sometimes sad parts in it too.

I love this game so much! Very addictive and heartwarming too.
  • Heartwarming Journey

The gameplay (a risk vs reward RPG-lite) isn’t much on its own, but when paired with the animated story sequences about friendship, sibling bonds and perseverance, a melting pot of perfection presents itself. While decidedly short, it is the perfect type of interactive experience for a service like Apple Arcade. It respects your time and packs a relatable story punch for anyone who has a sibling. I really like this type of experimentation on the platform and hope to see more of it!

  • Meh

It’s good in my opinion. But there are some things that could improve. For example, I finished chapter two and left the game. The next day I come back and I have to start chapter one all over again.
