It works!
I tired it immediately after downloading. I didn’t sign up for an account, and only used the ‘guest’ mode. It worked flawlessly. I’m not sure why others are having trouble, but in NYC, it accurately pointed out the Mister Softees, and showed when they were leaving (and I did a visual confirmation, as there were several in a few block radius of where I was).

Has great potential, but someone needs to work on the app.
Kids rarely play outside these days. We usually don’t hear the truck until it’s too late and it’s passing our house. If the app could alert you when it’s in the neighborhood that would put people on the alert to get their money and kids ready. Maybe even announce it via Google home or Alexa. If the franchisor is not going to maintain the app, hand it over to someone who will.

Waste of time!
Idk if it’s the fact that I’m in Manhattan but this app does not work…at all. I just saw a Mister Softee truck but had to go in the opposite direction for a few minutes. I decided to download the app to see where they went bc I wanted some ice cream. There are no trucks showing up at all on the app let alone any near me. And apparently it’s the same for some other reviewers here too. What a waste of time and space in my phone.

Leaving Money Behind
There are a plethora of people - willing to pay - trying to use this app to find the ice cream trucks. What is the sentiment here? There is no accuracy. Yall are leaving money behind. Just look at all the unhappy reviews.
I heard the trucks jungle but i couldn’t find where it was. I thought the app would help but to no avail…
The fact is, i will be spending my money somewhere else because its so hard to find a truck… id go out of my way to purchase from Mister Softee - if i could find one.
Please, do better. Its 2024. Most of your drivers have phones… do something with that technology and stop leaving money behind.

Horrible Quality
This app is horrible quality it showed no ice cream trucks even in my whole entire state. I have been waiting for an ice cream truck for an hour so I was downloading apps to track in this app was such horrible quality. It just took up the space in my iPhone and wasted my time. Zero stars because this app is not correct I know for a fact that there is a ice cream truck in my state and most definitely in my area but because of this app, I have major doubts. this app really put a damper on my day. I spent so much time giving this app so many second chances but it’s still managed to fail.

I don’t even know why they have this app
So basically, the reason of why I said I don’t even know why they have this is because when I first opened up the app, it was all cute. You know me my mom loved the music and then once I signed in I was like OK this is where they are right now and then I clicked on one of the trucks and it said on road since June 29, 2023 it is now 2024. I don’t know why they would put trucks that is a year old. I don’t understand so I fix that thank you.

Completely Broken
It’s shocking that an ad for this app is the first thing you see when you go to the mister softee website, because the app doesn’t work at all! When trying to sign up, nothing happens when tapping the “Sign Up” button, and when you skip the sign up, all that’s shown is a map without any of the positions of any mister softeee trucks. As someone who was iOS app developer since 18 years of age, I don’t understand how this app got approved for the App Store. If you would like me to fix the app, please let me know who to contact and maybe we can make a deal!

Standing by a truck but…
It’s not on the map anywhere. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. All the app seems to do is show my current location. And it shows every restaurant and business, but not the trucks. When I try to enter my address, it doesn’t even recognize that Brooklyn is a city. Haha I wrote to customer service and if they get back to me and fix my issue, I will come back and revise this review.

Doesn’t work
Downloaded yesterday. Was seriously standing in front of the truck, and there wasn’t a single truck near by according to the map.
App is a great idea, if it worked. Include routes as well so we know where it’s going. Saw someone else with a ping option. Absolutely agree. That way your drivers know where potential customers are.

Let the trucks know where customers are!
It’s good to know where the trucks are, but would be even better to be able to let the trucks know where customers who want to buy are! Sometimes I want ice cream and wish I could alert a truck to come by!
