Frustrating
I may be slightly more negative than what the app deserves because of the reorganization of the store, however it is the messing up the store that drives me to the app that then does not work (the store layout used to make sense, just like one can navigate Publics in Florida and Tescos in Europe that follow the same generic ideas, following some tacit logic of clustering similar items. But no, Wegmans must now put the greeting cards in between the cereal and baking supplies isles and other paper products in the opposite end of the store along with crackers to make sure you don’t find similar items in the same vicinity).
But back to the app: it cannot figure out for its life which store I am in and keeps opening in the Fairfax store, a place I never visited in my life. It knows my location, and still opens a store 269 miles away when I am shopping even though I reset it to my home store countless times.
Search is iffy because it just matches characters in words rather than concepts or synonyms, and even if you luck out, I had about 75% chance of being sent to the right location for an item (after I manually reset the store, grrr)

They have some work to do.
I really like having this app. It’s great to be able to build my grocery list and have it sorted by aisle so I can just work my way through the store. There are a few things that I find annoying. The ordering of the grocery list, while mostly intuitive, does have some things in a strange order. But that I can deal with. I read through a lot of the latest reviews and just about all of them are negative. I agree with a lot of the points where the search function is not really all that helpful sometimes. I also would like to see a feature that lets you see all unchecked items on your list so you can make sure that you’ve gotten everything without having to scroll so much. The one complaint that I have that I have not seen in other reviews is that I periodically have items just disappear from my shopping list. I am guessing that it’s not really the app losing them, but rather me accidentally touching the trashcan icon on the item which removes it from the list. I am left-handed, and so hold my phone with my right hand, and I am more prone to accidentally touch the screen in the area where the trashcan icon is or change the quantity with my right thumb while scrolling. I would like to see a “lock” slider on the grocery list that only allows you to check/uncheck an item.

Needs more work
1.- Wegmans seems to really value accessibility and as a person with disabilities, I do rely on Apple’s digital assistant, Siri. I would love to see more integration with Siri. I imagine a world where I can say to Siri: “add nacho cheese Doritos to my Wegmans app shopping list” and it would be added to your app’s shopping list. Or if I’m in the store, being able to ask Siri “what aisle can I find the cat food? and Siri would know.
2.- I would absolutely love to see your pharmacy service in the app. I receive a lot of texts from the pharmacy team. I’m wondering if that could move to the Wegmans app? I would love the ability to ask Siri “when will my prescriptions be ready at Wegmans?” and Siri would tell me that my “medications will be ready on X day for pickup. Would I like to hear the pharmacy hours?”
3.- it would be very useful if the Wegmans app could provide when you replenish your stock. Especially for produce like berries (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries). Knowing when to get the freshest product/produce helps me plan my trip to your store. And of course, having the ability to ask Siri: “when will Wegmans receive their next delivery of strawberries?” is a tremendous help.
