Leave a Review CAVA | Order Online
Good app, bad quality control. Order in store.
The issue is not the app, it’s the quality control of the restaurants. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2020 and this year especially I have seen such a drop off in quality control. It gets annoying when it feels like half the time I go to Cava, I have to fill out a customer service ticket because they got my order wrong. In their defense, the customer service has always been pretty good and they’ve always made it right, but I don’t want to keep having to do that. I just want what I paid for. It’s easy to use and they have rewards program that I also like to use. The only issue comes from quality control itself and that’s why I just going in store and ordering so you can watch them put the bowl together in front of you.Show lessWorst Reward System EVER
You have to spend a certain amount of money before you can get only a discount on your birthday meal lol. The only “reward” you can get is $8 off your meal for 800 points. Also, if you don’t use your points in just a few months, they go away. It is already hard enough to even qualify for only $8 off your meal, so it’s only worth it you eat there every day or at least once a week. The food is also overpriced. You have to pay an extra $2.5 for half an avocado. That means you are not only paying the regular amount for a topping (included in total) but an extra $2.50. A WHOLE avocado doesn’t even cost that much. Last complaint, the food is not enough to fill you up for longer than a couple hours. If i’m paying $15, I should be full until the next day lol. Food tastes good tho, but I mean it has to be for it to be worth that price.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hi! We appreciate your review. We'll share this feedback with our team as we're always working to enhance our guests' experiences. Not responsive to order status
The app performs well and has a nice UI. But most large chain mobile apps have all got that nailed down. Something that is severely lacking in CAVA’s app is a view of order status. After placing your order, there’s no way to view the status of your order. Their competitor, Chipotle, does have such feature.
Both places have unusual delays. For example, me and a several people waited 45 minutes (no exaggeration) after our expected time. But that’s not an app problem. I don’t mind waiting if you just keep me informed and don’t give me inaccurate expectations. Allow stores to update progress of an order.
My experience has given me a bad taste and I will probably refrain from ordering from CAVA for a while. Chains such as Chick-Fil-A and Panera are consistent and can be relied upon when it comes to their app.Show lessDeveloper Response
