I lost my job a few weeks ago n although I was worried I thought to myself. Well at least I have income protection from grid right? Absolutely wrong. I have sent them every document I could find to prove I was unemployed. Letters from my previous employer that states the company shut down so it was an involuntary lay off. Paid my fee on time for months. I met ever requirement but still they stalled for weeks by asking me for the same documents over n over. When finally I just asked for a refund on my fees and guess what? They gave it to me instantly. Because there is NO protection money. I’ve read multiple stories where people had the same experience but decided to give them a chance anyway. But don’t make the same mistake I did. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. Go to a legit income protection insurance and invest in them because this app is a fraud. Thank God I found another job right on time before I became homeless but don’t let this be the case with you take your money, your trust and business to a company with a customer service number at least. When the class lawsuit for this app gets out, I can’t wait to be apart of it because this app is truly a scam.Show lessDeveloper Response

For some reason the app says there is an issue with your account in a red banner. When I click on it, it says I need to reconnect my bank. I click “Reconnect your account” and I get an error that says we ran into a small hiccup please try again in a bit. This has been going on for a few weeks or more. I originally thought it was because my subscription payment was overdue so I payed it with my bank account that I have connected to Grid. That payment went through just fine, no issues. How can there be an issue then with my bank account if you can take a payment?
I have tried to reach out to support. The only way to contact them is through chat in the app. I missed their response and the chat won’t reset for me to start a new chat so I’m stuck in limbo.
If this gets fixed 5 stars all the way. The cash advance is the product that I use. There is a spot me feature too, my employer isn’t listed, but the app is actually good, just this one issue.Show lessDeveloper Response

Update 7/12: This issue with SynapseFi was resolved. However, I was not contacted by Grid with any updates and noticed that the Credit Line had been fixed by checking the app myself. Grid desperately needs to improve their customer service.

For the past two months, Grid has had issues with Evolve Bank and SynapseFi which has made it impossible to access my credit line. More concerning though is that because of these issues it is impossible to make a payment on my account and my account is listed as being past due. This could seriously hurt my credit score and there’s nothing I can do to resolve the issue. When I try to contact customer service, I just get a form letter and while they say these issues won’t impact my credit score, their app is still showing my payment as past due— making it sort of difficult to trust what is clearly an automated response.
