  • Love it, except for one thing

I’m a solo acoustic entertainer. This app is great to use on stage with my iPad. Having backing tracks linked with each lyrics page is incredible. Except for one problem … after the app updates, the lyrics pages and their backing tracks are no longer linked. This has led to a few occasions during gigs when I expect the backing track to start and all I get is an error saying “File not found.” Every time the app updates I have to manually re-link each lyrics page with the backing track. I have 275 songs, 90 of which have backing tracks. So it becomes an inconvenience. But overall, I’m very happy with this app and highly recommend it.

  • Well worth it

One of the best features of this app is the ability to customize the size and color of the parts of the song (chorus, erase etc.) as well as the chords. You can print pdf versions of songs from your library directly from the app, or quickly share the files with your gig mates if the also have Songbook Pro.

My only (minor) complaint is that Songbook Manager does not display quite the same as the app. Songbook Manager essentially allows you to use a computer “log in” to your Songbook app and make all edits and changes. It would be good if the fonts and colors displayed the same on the computer as on the iPad. This minor complaint does not take away from the usefulness of Songbook Manager, which I use very often.

  • Better than OnSong

One time purchase of $6 compared to a $3/month subscription model? The choice is a no-brainer. Thank you for making this app affordable for the so many struggling musicians out there!

Love how the lyrics reformat size when you zoom in and out. It’s also very user friendly adding new songs from GuitarTabs

  • Exactly what I needed

Swapped to this from Ultimate Guitar’s app after it started giving me issues. Killer feature for me is adding songs on the fly from multiple sites quickly for when I need to wing a song at a gig.

App is organized well, easy to use, and runs super stable. Although it was a bit of slog to transfer my giant set list to a new app, the SongbookPro Manager feature helped immensely.

The only thing I would request, which is somewhat specific to me, is a toggle to enable the bouncy scrolling that iOS uses standard. I prefer to use auto scroll and sometimes I need to fling the page up or down quickly while I’m playing a song, and the way the app scrolls doesn’t really allow me to do that easily.

Thank you so much for this app! It’s greatly improved my shows by letting me focus on playing more than struggling with an iPad app.

  • Book

I say that I enjoy SongbookPro. I don’t have a total recall type of memory. I depend on repetition, over and over till I get it right. I have to see things in front of me. What I would like is to see the song in front of me the entire song.
If I have to take my hand away from the guitar to turn the page then I lose my place (many factors). Maybe there is an adjustment I have not figured it out. Around the horn/song maybe the ability to have post it notes to remind me of the correction that are required. I like the scroll up better than turning the page. Turning the page is not productive, scrolling helps with timing and of course you follow the song. Verse, chorus, ending ….

    Good program for late starters

At the end a nickname is requested, maybe that command can be tweaked because in 10 try’s and no success is kind of a pain. I am a paid customer and not a free loader.

  • Awesome App, However Syncing Issue with Setlists

Love the app, has revolutionized my ability to organize and find music through ultimate-guitar to easily build sets and songs I want to learn quickly.

Biggest issue I’ve encountered is it doesn’t seem that setlists sync consistently between my iPhone 11 and iPad 10th gen. Tried contacting support a few weeks ago and haven’t received a response. For now I’ve resorted to only adding songs on my phone and exclusively using my iPad for building setlists - I use the latter for performances.

  • Amazing app!

This app changed my gigging life! I am able to look up any song on the fly, and save it in the key that I do it in. I can sink and back it up on several devices, and still have my library ,an app where the chords and words are on the same page, I can’t say enough good things about it. I have literally learned 100 new songs since I downloaded the app and it grows every time I do a gig. Thank you for making this.

  • Sooo much easier than paper charts

The best thing is that I can go anywhere and have ALL my charts with me without having to carry around a big, heavy binder full of paper.

Instead of printing a bunch of charts and the trashing them after a gig, I just keep all my charts in this app.

It is easy to create and modify set lists.

The leader of one group I am in puts our charts on Google Drive and it is so easy to download them directly into Songbook Pro. And if somebody wants a chart that I have, I can just Airdrop it to them.

I’ve been using this for over a year and I am very happy with this app!

Also, no spam from the developers and, and far as I can tell, they have not sold my email address to anyone!

  • Best lyric app I’ve come across

SongbookPro does the job. My old iPad would no longer reload my other app for lyrics and SongbookPro came to the rescue. Since then both my iPad and my iPhone are running versions with all my lyrics stored safely and backed up. Not only that but I can easily manage everything by linking either one of those devices to my laptop to managing lyrics, structure and chords. Well done SBP!!!
PS this only cost me a fiver! Fantastic value.

  • Excellent app at a very reasonable price

I have only been using for a couple of months but so far has exceed my expectations.

I have my guitar set list which is easily populated by Ultimate guitar and I also attended a informal choir and all the lyrics are on paper and a pain to find the songs you want, but have now scanned and uploaded to song book pro so no more carrying and organising a folder of paper song sheets.

I trialed a similar program that was considerably more expensive but this is so much better.

The creator is also very proactive and willing to listen and act on suggestions to improve if it is possible.

One suggestion I might put forward is the ability to alter the speed of the scrolling mid song for long instrumental segments, but that is probably a big ask but know if possible it would be implemented.
