  • Needs landscape mode for iPad!

How difficult is that to do? Come on!
  • Rubbish app

These are the best guitar headphones ever, but it’s really let down by the app.
It’s a challenge to create your own patches and it appears to be impossible to download any patches from the new tone exchange - I was excited to get some more tones to play with, but spent 3 hours only to end up with nothing new.

  • Boss needs to update app

The EV-1-WL Bluetooth pedal no longer connects to app after the iOS 15.5 update. Come on Boss, this kind of developer latency is unacceptable. Yes, the app is free but the hardware is not, and it is dependent on the software.
  • No metronome?

It’s nice that the app has a built-in tuner but… no metronome? Please, the app needs one. Being able to practice with wireless headphones is priceless, but not being to do so without a metronome is counterproductive. Also, when playing, sometimes the headphones stops producing sound, even when the transmitter has the green light on. I have to unplug the transmitter and plug it in again so it works again.

  • Worst User Interface

Clearly whoever designed this has never used any musical equipment or any of the iOS apps for instrument interface. It’s ridiculous and nonsensical - everything from the controls themselves to how you turn effects on and off are so alien to guitar players as to be unusable.
  • Useless because I can’t connect to it.

I tried using this app on my ipad, iphone, and ipod touch. The ipad and ipod touch were never able to connect to the Waza-Air at all. My iphone did connect to it, but when I tried to use the app to edit the settings on one of the sound patches, I kept getting a message that the app was having trouble communicating with the Waza-Air. So I tried turning bluetooth off and back on against to reset the connection, but my iphone was never able to detect the Waza-Air again.

Without a functioning app, the Waza-Air is no better than a $30 plug-in headphone amp, yet it costs $449. So I’ll be returning it soon.

  • Great headphone amp. Rubbish app!

I’d agree wholeheartedly with the majority of reviews on this. Headphones/virtual amp are excellent and the modelling sounds from the katana amps and BOSS virtual pedals are excellent. App is very poor though, so accessing anything but the 6 factory presets is difficult. The app opened up the first time I used it but has only worked twice since then; and even then only when I had to reinstall the app. That means it’s worked about once in ten times which is totally unacceptable. BOSS need to roll out some corrective software immediately to sort this and avoid losing potential new customers. 5 stars + for the headphones. Zero for the app.

  • Bluetooth malfunction in this 1.1.1 version

You can hear your guitar and all the incredibly cool effects no problem. That is not the issue. The issue is also using the headphones to sync with my own music. iTunes, Spotify, whatever. I cannot hear anything. The Bluetooth connection appears but there is no transfer to the headphones. The music just comes through my iPhone. I see the WAZA AIR MADI in the Bluetooth menu. But nothing else. I have tried to open the software update for 1.2.0 by following the boss instructions and the zip won’t open it’s in a.BIN file. I’ve been to guitar center they can’t help. I cannot get a live person at boss. They refer you to online supportWith an apology stated in writing! No live person. Frustrated beyond words especially when their demo video looks so simple. Until this version is updated from the source I would stay away from this product.

  • The worst GUI ever

I have to say this is the most counter-intuitive, worst thought out, least user friendly interface I have ever come across, and what few instructions there are are rubbish. The spilt dials controlling a different effect either side of the vertical position is utterly horrible and the inability to switch an effect on or off from the bar that looks like a power strip is beyond annoying. Needs a total software interface overhaul. And more downloadable tones would be nice too. Just as well the Waza Air’s themselves are a brilliant piece of kit and sound amazing! Shame the necessary associated software is junk.

  • Horrendous.

Zero instruction on how to use. Very unintuitive. Still trying to figure the same thing out.
