  • Poor user experience

The effects are controlled by that 2 effect knob are inconvenient to use. It is hard to see everything is one screen on a phone it would be helpful to have landscape orientation as well. The app struggles to save preset patches every once in a while. The only redeeming feature is it allows you to use the headphones and tweak your tone even if it is a pain to get the sounds you want.

  • Hardware good but software and app not so

Like other reviewers, the gyro drift is annoying and distracting. You have to manually re-centre yourself within the headphones by pressing 2 buttons simultaneously. As for the app itself, it is comprehensive but not especially user friendly with a lot of guessing required. My biggest issue is that the app is guitar focused with very little for bass. Hopefully Korg will release meaningful updates in the near future.

  • Could use a couple interface improvements

It works pretty well with the WAXA-AIR headset amp.

But it needs to have a landscape format—it needs to be able to flip for use on the iPad.

And the virtual knobs that control two different effects are horrible. They’re not really usable. The effect on/off is also pretty inscrutable. Each effect should have its own on/off and setting knob.
