  • iPad app doesn’t go landscape

My iPad is my main guitar tool and it works good on my phone but the fact that it’s only portrait mode on the iPad really disappoints me
  • Does not fit in iPhone 12 screen

There title and x button is too high up on the iPhone screen, so it makes it difficult to press there “x” button to go back to a previous window.
  • App doesn’t work with iOS 14.4

The headphones are good but will not connect to the app, so functionality is limited to the 6 presets in the headset. The retailer won’t accept a return as they consider it a personal product for hygiene reasons & referred me to Roland. The issue either the app appears to be a known fault but with no remedy from Roland. Don’t waste your money & as it’s an expensive product I feel short changed

  • Hardware Great App Doesn’t work with Notch on IPhone 12 Max

The headphones themselves are innovative and give a great quality sound. If you are familiar with signal chains in other Boss products the App is fine, albeit complicated as others have commented.
Gyro drift in Headphones is a pain by overall great practice tool.
  • Any chance of an in-app recording feature?

I have owned a pair of Boss WAZA-Air headphones roughly since they became available. They’ve been a great way to break away from having a tangle of cables from my bass in order to practice anywhere and anytime, with or without using the app. I’ve used them to practice at home to music on my iPad or iPhone, I’ve used them to practice backstage before a show or while traveling.

As a bass player, I feel that Roland/Boss have not done enough to make this product as good as it could be, such as only having 1 “bass” sound available. It’s clearly designed with guitarists in mind, but I have even used this with an electronic drum pad, to practice along with songs in a playlist.

For me, and I would like to think for many others, having an in-app recording feature, or the ability to link to another recording app, such as GarageBand or Cubasis, etc, could make this combination even more functional and fun. Oftentimes, i set aside a portion of my practice time to improvising and working out song ideas. Rather than having to take the headphones off and stick a microphone inside the cups or disconnect from them and hook up my regular recording rig, taking valuable time away from capturing a fleeting idea, I would love to just be able to either go into the Boss Tone Studio app or be able to use Cubasis, etc., to record these little session nuggets while they’re fresh.

As a user, I attempted to reach out to Boss US and the first response I received said that I needed to reach out to their parent company Roland Japan. When I suggested that whomever was responding could just as simply send along my recording feature to someone higher up, I received a response that said legally they were not allowed to. Ok, but on the Roland website, there is no visible location/link to submit a message or reach out to a customer service person. The Boss US service folks said posting on Facebook to see if people were in agreement would be one way to see things happen, but I’m not on FB and don’t intend on joining just as a way to see this through...maybe people on here will read this and take it the next step or perhaps Roland/Boss are already working on it...all the same...if there are others that think this is a worthy idea, let them know.

  • App is unusable on iPhone with no home button

Just got a pair and while they are pretty amazing device but the app is not usable on my iphone 12. The app has no padding at the top of the app to accommodate the both. Important buttons show up where the time is in the left and the cell signal, wifi, and battery symbol on the right. Its impossible to press these buttons. I have to force quit the app if you go into edit the individual effects and majority of the time the write button doesn’t respond.

I am going to probably end up returning them because the app is impossible to use.

  • Horrible on full screen phones

They put critical buttons so high on the screen that you cannot use them or go back since the buttons are behind the clock / time or any other displays near the “notch”. Also having issues with things not displaying right on the bottom of the screen. Therefore I cannot even use the software on my iPhone 12 Pro and therefore cannot use the Waza Air Headphones. Total bummer.

  • Come on, make it landscape

  • Cuts off randomly. Terrible reliability for expensive headphones!

Wireless receiver cuts out randomly even when standby is selected off in app. Incredibly annoying!
  • It Works Now

Got the app update for iOS 14.2, and so far the headphones and app work. Still loses connection though. Hopefully, this will be fixed in an update tonight.
