  • Amazing but needs record function!

Overall this product is amazing for private practice and writing and working on ideas but this app desperately needs a record function. I’ve resorted to laying the headphones down and placing my iPhone in between the earphones and using the voice recorder to capture the idea I’m working on. Works but not ideal. Other than that I can’t recommend this system highly enough. I love it.

  • Bad APP Layout

Ok I want to start by saying I dont want to give this a one star, but the developers do not give a direct contact to offer a needed suggestion. This app is not bad, however it does not support landscape, it just has portrait mode, this is terrible if you use an ipad in a case. I use my Ipad in a keyboard case as most do, and so I have to stand the case on its side and it is an IPad Pro 12.8 and its a nightmare. Who makes an app that will not rotate to match screen position. Using an iphone to setup and make changes while playing is not great, so the ipad is a great option and we need landscape mode. Dev’s I really hope you are reading the comments. I will gratefully change my rating if this get done, otherwise it will stand. The headphones are great the sound is reasonable and the app has many features giving some pretty amazing control over the headlamp. It would be nice if it were easier to use if landscape view was added.

  • Bizarre UI

Headphones are great and the sounds are very good. I'll just echo all the other comments on here regarding the choice of UI. I understand there might be a trade off for screen size functionality, but the effects system is baffling to say the least.

Would also appreciate a facility to download and rate other user's presets.

Also, no updates to the app or added sounds/amps/effects since I have had the device since February is worrying.

  • Sounds great, but can’t be outputted or recorded

I love the sound. The interface is very cumbersome.
What it needs more than anything, is to make it compatibility with apps like Audiobus2.
  • Very promising

Overall super promising but some minor adjustments could make it 5 stars:

    * connecting to active pickups makes volume super high, was able to make it work by setting amp volume in the app to 1. Would be great to have a warning in the future on active pickup usage to avoid hearing problems

    * we need a in-app metronome, this is a perfect tool to practice but without the ability to use a metronome it loses a lot of its power.

    * knobs are too sensitive, very hard to select a value precisely

Thanks for this technology and app and look forward to future update

  • Use with other apps

Why not have functionality with other apps? For recording, looping, etc. Only BTS?
The app is great and you should get the headphones but just make the next update open to other apps and really there is no beating the headphone amp experience...crazy this was left out
  • App works but.....

Boss needs to finally fix the gyro drift problem with headphones. A great product but for the price they could have been more dependable.
  • Roland should be ashamed

Using the waza app is like painting the hallway of your house through your letterbox from the outside. Needs designed from scratch, seems to mirror the interface limitations of some of the katana amps where two effects are controlled by one knob so you can only access one or the other, katana Amos have been upgraded to include dual centric knobs to solve this problem sort it on the app now. Baffling approach, Lazy

  • Love the headphones, hate the app.

Boss Waza Air headphones are an awesome product, there's no denying it. They sound awesome, they're comfortable and well built, the battery life is good, and they've totally revolutionised my guitar practice at home, but... The app is shocking.

The range of effects and level of control that you have over the effects is mind-boggling, but so too is the user interface. Single dials for multiple effects; complicated routes to change which effects are on the dials; unclear menus; and a weird "light" scheme to denote which effect is associated with each (half!) of the dials. It's a mess!

It would be so much better if it worked as a "virtual pedal board" with a number of slots, hold on the slot to select and set up the pedal you want in that position then click on the slot to turn the pedal on and off. Simples! Maybe more complex to program, but it's impossible to navigate as it is, unless you've got a degree in music technology and a spare 15 hours to set it all up.

  • Needs an iPad version w/ landscape mode

In general, this app does what it needs to and works ok. Some folks have articulated their unhappiness that Bst/Mod and Delay/Fx knobs are either-or rather than separate knobs that allow all to be on at the same time, but I believe this is simply a limitation of the number off simultaneous effects that the processor can handle. It’s not an insurmountable obstacle as most of the effects show up in both the Mod and Fx menus, and the reverb knob can be set for combined delay+reverb… so it is possible to get drive+effect+delay+reverb chain.

Navigation could be more intuitive. Most of all though, I wish it had a dedicated iPad version that allowed landscape mode.
