Needs Love

Haven’t been able to view usage for some time now, either “in progress” or past.

Can’t login

Can’t even login by using my PG&E account

Absolute garbage

1) Doesn’t remember log-in even when the “remember” checkbox is marked and Face ID is enabled.
2) Navigation is hidden behind content much of the time.
3) Clunky and slow loading for many features.
4) Feedback form literally doesn’t work. It doesn’t allow you to select what you want and can’t deselect anything and can’t continue because the button is disabled.

Not PG&E

portland general electric is not Pacific Gas and Electric Company

Bare minimum effort of an app

It generally works, but clearly a wrapper on the web app. UI is clunky and non-native. With autopay on it still gives the option to pay with no indication that auto pay is scheduled. Not the worst utility app in the world, but it’s one of the cases where the website is actually better. In generally I appreciate the breakdown in usage, by the hour even.

Tech support unhelpful

Tech support is unhelpful app keeps crashing and won’t do anything

Way too many updates

App doesn’t show me all the info I can find online regarding my current and past energy use and cost, so I will always check the online website.

The app also needs to update every time I try to open it, which is annoying and time consuming. So much so that I decided to write a review about it. My advice: skip the app and just check your account online.

Uninstalling

Does not recognize my user name and pw, can’t use the app at all.

Why did you change the system

There are two accounts for this address and they have always been there until now why did you drop the one please fix it

App uses too much data

The app is fictional enough. And really, in most months I wouldn’t really need to use it ever as my PGE Bill is automatically paid from my bank account every month, but my power has been out for 4 days now so I’ve had to check the status of my outage multiple times a day and the size of the service calls/responses have been massive. iOS tells me that the PGE app has used more data than Instagram, and that’s wild because Instagram has photos and videos and the PGE app is likely just some JSON or XML. Obviously some overbloated service is sending some massive payloads. Feel bad for the developers that work on the app.
