Update caused all photos to be backed up
Updated the app a few days ago. My setting has been “From now on” for backing up my photos and videos. All of a sudden, when the app was updated, it started backing up all the photos. Not sure if this is causing duplicates in my NAS, but it is ties up my phone and the app now just hangs after so many backups. Please fix.Show lessemvxl

Hi emvxl Sorry for the late reply, we might found out that there is a slight chance when upgrading to new version of AiFoto 3 that the photos might switch to all photos. Please disable the backup function again and enable backup function and select the" From now on "again. This should fix the problem. Installed the new version and uploaded around 1.5k photos but now every time I open the app it crashes to Home Screen. Shame as it could be so useful. Will add a comment in the forums to see if anything is done about it.TungstenClocker

Hi TungstenClocker 1.Would you mind telling us which iOS version and iPhone model? 2.What is your NAS model? 3.Would you mind telling us where you got the crash? It’s only uploaded like 4 photos today. Even though I have a few hundred from the past week that haven’t gone through.TahsKh

Hi TahsKh Sorry for what you have experienced. It would be nice if you give us more information. Are you using Cloud ID or IP to login? Also, are you using Wifi (same with NAS network )or 4G? If you open the AiFoto3 and don't close it, would it upload photos? I am guessing the upload background process has been terminated due to the iOS system killing background process mechanism which also happens in Google photos. I have over 25k photos. The app just freezes on launch after I enabled backup. Needs fixing ASAP. Google photos has no issues.

Hi romk1n, Would you mind telling us how you log-in? By IP or Cloud ID? Also, tell us how you connect to your NAS? By 4G or Wifi(the same network with NAS) What's your NAS model? If possible, can we get your cloud id and a test account with the password? Also, what's your iPhone model and iOS version? Every thing works fine but needs to be able to sync while phone is locked and on charge so you do have to wait around with the app open all the time. Would be even better if this app sync with my other devices.Bigbadbeau3d

Bigbadbeau3d Thanks for the feedback. Due to the iOS system limitations, it will terminate the app in a few minutes if in the locked status or in the background. Would you mind telling us what do you mean by syncing with other devices? Do you want all the photos can be on different devices?Needs a landscape mode
Would really like it to have a landscape mode in addition to the portrait mode so that displays on iPad better as i have a attached keyboard having to use sideways while trying to view at a different angle is a bit off putting why i gave it only three stars will update to 5 once this is done as long as no other issues are inducedShow lesstotally disapointed user
