  • Fun, but short

I had a great time playing this game.

One of my all-time favorite video/computer games is Myst, and this very much follows that formula (especially the new Unreal 5 remaster). The graphics are good - simple, but charming and full of character. The controls are relatively intuitive.

It doesn’t take long to get the ball rolling. The puzzles require just enough brain power. I appreciate that there’s almost no annoying back-and-forth, whereby one has to do/undo things to unlock other things. There’s a natural progression of one puzzle leading to the next.

The only real gripe I have is that it’s a short game. Like, VERY short. I was in and out in about two hours, maybe less. I get that this was the intention, but still.

Maybe the developers could build other worlds, and link to them from a central point - like Myst. THEN, they’d have a wicked game on their hands!

  • Pointless and baffling

The game has no logic. It doesn’t follow real-world logic nor does it create its own. With different elements being spread out across the locations, you find yourself either laboriously wandering around (very slowly, because you can’t run) looking for the next clue or just hitting the “hint” button all the time. The puzzle solutions are inexplicable, and the use of the picture viewer to advance the game makes absolutely no sense.

The atmosphere is odd. I think it’s trying to be threatening, but it doesn’t succeed. A bit eerie, but not sufficiently to make sense.

The ending suggests there will be updates with more content, but I won’t be bothering to wait for any.

  • I really liked the game

When I went camping I played the game the whole time while I was there and it was interesting game and fun
  • Extraordinarily Fantastic

It is absolutely amazing. I loved playing it and as I got further into the game, I just became more and more immersed. The plot is amazing and left me wanting more, especially with the cliffhanger at the end. I especially loved the old show that played on the radio at the end. I listened to all of it and it was very interesting! I hope that there will be a second part to this! All in all though, I cannot recommend this game enough! I just want the developer(s) to know that you have created something that is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for creating this game!😊

  • This game was a ton of fun! Until…

I enjoyed this game a lot, and to all those who say there’s no mission, I’m pretty sure that’s the point. It’s a hard puzzle game that you’re supposed to figure out for yourself. The description of the game does say you have to restore the colors so that’s a mission I guess. Anyways, I was having a lot of fun until I got to the evil moon. So I was standing on the glowing triangle (I had already put the colors in the tower) and I took out the viewer and viewed the cameras. But then the game was stuck. The hints didn’t say anything past maybe an inventory item would work here? But I had already did that. If anyone has tips or knows if it’s just a glitch please tell me. If it is a glitch, it isn’t the first from shifty eye games.

  • Amazing! 👌

This game is one of my favorites of all the games I’ve ever played!
It is very hard and I had to look up a walkthrough to finish but it’s an amazing game. Once I finished the first time I deleted it. But I then wanted to play it again about a year later then I deleted it again. I just got it back and got the green but it’s a great game. Also I love all the details you put into this and how I basically was transferred into the painting. Overall this game is awesome! And I recommend it to anyone who likes a good puzzle, and loves a nice mystery!

  • Super short but difficult and intriguing puzzle game

The other reviews are correct in that the pace of movement and the mechanics are a little clunky. But if you enjoy Myst you would most likely enjoy it. Finished this game in a few hours and that’s with me doing other things in between. Hints are available if you get stuck, but over all, pretty clear on exploration and what to do. The only reason I downgraded this is the end. They slide an envelope and you think you’re getting another chapter but it just ends. I could have done without that. Don’t tease a second chapter if you’re never going to release it.

  • An under rated game

I absolutely love this game. It reminds me of an escape room. I love how clever it is. I definitely over thought the game much of the time but I really loved the challenge. So well thought out. I loved the transition of colors & the music, which starts off lovely, but becomes rather creepy. Despite knowing how to beat the game now, I repeatedly play this game. I find it relaxing & satisfying to play. I really wish the next photo opened a new puzzle. I truly wish I could find other games of the same design. I wish you’d make more games.
On the improvement side of things: I have run into minor glitches in which I couldn’t get the game to move forward for a short time, but I think this has happened maybe twice out of many times playing. It only happens when you need to line up your viewfinder to unlock that section of the puzzle.

  • Cool concept but…

The game is a very neat concept, trying to restore all the colors of the world around you. However, the game feels very all over the place and sporadic. None of the clues connect with each other and leave you running back and forth, up and down, through the map for the entire game.

A lot of the clues are also either way too vague or just a bit too specific. It makes the game really easy or really difficult at times, and a walkthrough is needed for a few steps. By that point, why bother playing it when you’re just going to have to watch a walkthrough to help and could just watch someone else play it instead.

Furthermore, the games mechanics are not all too great. It’s very finicky when trying to tap certain things. I can’t tell you how many times I tried to move the camera view when I was fiddling with the tv and it ended up bringing me back down to the tv instead. Having to wait for the animation scene of kneeling down the the tv to click off of it and then waiting for the animation of standing up, only to have the game rinse and repeat is incredibly frustrating.

And finally, the game seems incomplete. The ending almost makes you think you’re starting another level- that would probably be just as frustrating to navigate as the last one anyways- it just abruptly ends.

All in all, the concept it cool but everything about this game leaves much to be desired.

  • Beware the main menu

If you select Restart Game it warns you your game progress will be lost if you proceed.

If you select Return to Main Menu, there is no warning and you go to the main menu with no possibility of resuming your game, only starting a new game. Horrible user experience!!
