  • Myst Lite

A lovely little puzzler after the style of Myst, where you just kind of wander around and interact with stuff until things happen. Virtually no tutorial at all, but there are hints in case you get stuck. I’ve seen some reviewers saying this game is equally as difficult as Myst, personally I would rank this one as notably easier, but similar feel.

While it certainly isn’t obvious what to do next, there was never a point where I had absolutely no clue. Take note of items in the environment and investigate everything closely, and the game is fairly smooth, even intuitive at times. The scenery feels unsettling without being scary, the controls are easy and make sense, a well-made capsule puzzle.

My only gripe is that the actual puzzle is fairly short. I finished this game in about three hours of total play time. I wish there was more detective work to do! An expansion perhaps? A Discolored 2?

  • Is it over?

Well, everything you read in the other reviews is true. The puzzles are very good, the concept is great, the only story comes at the very end but I'll get to that.
The mechanics are very annoying, selecting and using things from inventory are particularly bad and cumbersome. Several things I missed were because I tried but I didn't do it exactly right. I'm talking about the phone but there were other points that should have been easier to find. Fortunately the hints were just enough to keep me going.
But what's up with the ending? I listened to the whole "vase" story and I get some more pictures and bang, credits start rolling.
If that's the end I'm very confused.

  • Super good!

I really enjoyed this game and it’s puzzles! I did need hints at times but other then that, I really super liked it! But can you please make another one with the new world that was at the end of the game? Thank you so much!😁☺️
  • Would rate it ten stars

Hello, I like this game because it is a hard-core puzzle solving game. I also like the fact that is very colorful if you restore all the pieces! I enjoy playing this game over and over again. I haven’t found any glitches yet. One complaint is that it is very hard and it’s probably shouldn’t be nine and up should be probably like 12 and up. Also the game might be scary for some little kids, because there is a huge eye in the sky to replace the moon, which might be a little creepy! Otherwise it’s a great game! 👍🏻👍🏻

  • Absolutely amazing

This game is completely and utterly amazing. From the visuals to the gameplay, it's great! I'm sad about how long it is and would love a sequel or more content being added because it was genuinely a game that I had sooo much fun playing. The atmosphere was slightly creepy at points and brought this unsettling feeling and the mystery of what will happen when you do something just made discoloured a spectacular game and I highly recommend it. I did however have to tinker with the camera sensitivity but that's not a complaint just a warning for anyone looking to play. Anyways, I will pay for a sequel or added content because Discoloured is an absolutely stunning game 💗

  • Great game....

Need more like this! I admit I needed to use the hints more than I would have liked to but once I got the hang of the game I needed the hints rarely.

I did Google the two hidden achievements as I just couldn't find them no matter how many times I ran thru the game. They were well hidden! The one at the end of the game I had an idea what was needed but could not find the piece needed. The one towards the beginning of the game I had no clue about.

Kudos to the developers and testers.

  • Fun game with wonky controls

I’m a huge fan of puzzle games and this definitely scratched that itch for me. Very clever with interesting mechanics and whenever I got stuck the hints were able to point me in the right direction. Visually this game is very nice, and the music is amazing (if unsettling, but it’s unsettling in a good way). However, I have to take a star off for the controls. They weren’t so bad as to make the game unplayable, but they were definitely clunky and hard to use, and didn’t really get better the more I played. If I had a controller I probably would have found it much easier, but using a touchscreen makes things very difficult. I also could have done with a slightly faster walking speed as the game requires you to backtrack so often, but that’s a more minor nitpick. Overall I had a good time and found it to be worth my while.

  • LOVE IT

Not sure why everyone is complaining about the controls. Not sure how else you can look around on an iPad with no toggle stick. Just take a few minutes to get used to it. Very Nancy Drew vibes, super fun and mysterious. Worth the download for sure! Now make another one!!
  • Fun

As someone who enjoys puzzler games, I have to say I really liked this. Challenging, and very good at getting the brain working.

The controls on this are awful. I tried using touch, and then connected my dual sense controller and found that to be better, but still slow. Would highly recommend using a controller and changing the sensitivity up in the settings before playing.

Would love to see a sequel to this game. So strangely out of the blue, like an episode of the twilight zone.

  • Similar to Room Escape Games

If you enjoy Room Escape type puzzle games, then I’m sure you will like Discolored! Thought-provoking puzzles that use color to draw your attention to new objects. Things you had previously not noticed in the background, suddenly pop out and being actionable. It was exciting to go back through previously explored areas to see what was new. It was short and sweet experience that can be completed in a couple hours depending on your proficiency with puzzles. The only complaint I have is the touch controls for clicking on objects. It took me a while to realize that you have to click directly on the triangle that appears to interact with things. I wish this was explained more explicitly to the player in the tutorial section.
