  • Excellent Ceramic Info and Content

Nice detailed information on the many facets of making and glazing ceramic objects. Jessica delivers this content in informal and fun to watch sessions. Her enthusiasm for the many topics she covers is catching and the material is what any ceramic artist needs to know to elevate their skills. It does not matter whether you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran of this industry. You will enjoy watching Jessica as she covers a very broad spectrum of topics and shows us new techniques and materials we might want to use in our own studios.

  • Kindness and generosity.

I’ve been a low key part of this community for a couple of years now. The amount of classes and tutorials available is wild.
Jess and Kevin are a great team. They compliment each other and give us a glimpse of their talent and compassion and decency.

They are generous to a fault. And I have learned an enormous from the lessons and from listening to their live broadcasts.

  • ClayShare, my go-to learning source!

Jessica Putnam Phillips and Kevin are a fabulous team, teaching us what we need to know in ClayShare, and ClayShare Prime! If we have a question, they will answer it, if they can’t, they will bring in a guest who can! We are all part of a big family. We are thankful for Jessica, Kevin, and their partners at ClayShare!

    Respectfully,

  • ClayShare is motivating!

There are so many things about ClayShare that I love.
*Jess and Kevin are approachable-they feel like friends to all of us in their large family of members. They answer questions promptly over social media or email. They seem to incorporate their business into family life-maybe because they work all the time so we see them somewhere almost every day. I know they are trying for more balance to avoid total burnout. Please take time off-we get it.
*There are classes archived for absolutely any question or topic I might have.
*Jess teaches on a level that everybody can understand but does not talk down to anyone. Longtime experienced potters can also learn from her.
*Monday Morning ClayShare is a great way to start the week and the weekly Wednesday classes are very informative.
*The additional time they give to us, like ClayCon or bead week are above and beyond.
*I am more motivated by this online membership than my studio classes that I have been enrolled in for years.
    Thanks!!!

  • Great way to learn!

I purchased a membership as a Christmas present, and I have not been disappointed. My daughter is an experienced potter, but she has enjoyed classes on glazing techniques and new forms/designs. I am very inexperienced, and I have really enjoyed Jessica Putnam Phillips’ wide range of classes for newbies! I have even attempted a few of the more advanced shapes. There are so many classes to choose from! You will enjoy exploring them!

  • Always there to answer questions!

Clayshare is a wonderful pottery site to learn both handbuilding and throwing. One of my favorite things about ClayShare is Jessica! She will show you how to make something either handbuilt or thrown and goes directly thru it all and then shows you how she glazes the item! Then in the next week or 2 you will see it coming out of the kiln. So many times watching others they show you how to make it,with NO helpful comments and you never see the item finished! I have never belonged to a group of people like those on ClayShare ,who will gladly answer all questions and be so friendly. Would highly recommend ClayShare with Jessica and can’t forget Kevin !! I would gladly recommend ClayShare to all my friends and Ihave! I really feel like I belong!

  • ClayShare

ClayShare is the best thing that has happened to me when talking about clay and ceramics… I learned so much from Jess just in the first few classes. I can’t believe how cheap my membership is. It is worth it over and over again. I do pottery as a hobby on the side of my full time job. Pottery is my therapy and keeps me sane. Finding ClayShare was such a blessing. Thank you for everything you do for our community! 💛

  • Great app for watching and learning

The app is very easy to use and learn from. Having been disconnected from my community studio during the pandemic, I relied on this during the pandemic and learned a lot about clay work. I appreciate all the work that’s put in, so users can have a great experience. Thank you for the constant work to create professional flawless streaming.

  • Covid lead to a marvelous discovery!!

What should have been a 1 week stay in Montana turned into 3 months in the early Spring of 2020. Having long, leisurely days with no usual obligations on my agenda I was able to turn my attention to my lifelong love of working in clay. How I found Clayshare can only be luck. After having spent over 40 years in and around a number of wonderful community studios and schools, I decided that being 100% a home studio potter was what I needed to do. Becoming acquainted with Jess and Kevin was a true blessing. Totally welcoming, approachable and supportive pair offer a safe place to land and grow your craft. All levels are partnering here. We all share and learn together. You can enjoy projects new and old, techniques familiar or challenging or learn a better way to approach what you thought you had perfected. I have learned so much, made new friends and become more comfortable in the clay crafter community . I have found new clay bodies I love, invested in more equipment ( with Clayshare guidance) found a fellow potter to share my kiln and , in general, am just a better , happier potter.
