  • Excellent Resource

ClayShare is an excellent resource for potters of all experience levels. Jess and Kevin seem like such great people and are very down-to-earth in their broadcasts. Jess is a great teacher who presents as kind, humble, and patient. Her pace is perfect and she thoroughly explains each step. You can find just about anything pottery-related you are looking for on this site. I’ve been doing pottery for about 18 months and have learned so much by watching the videos on ClayShare. If you love working with clay, you will love ClayShare!

  • Jessica

I enjoy listening and watching Jessica. Her positive outlook and attitude is uplifting. I watched your class on creativity and gave me some hope. I’m always comparing others work to mine. They have been taking classes the same amount of time and I feel they are so far ahead of me. What you said about being happy is something I really need to work on. Thanks so much for your smile and openness to share

  • The absolute BEST clay community!

Jessica Putnam-Phillips and Kevin Phillips have created the most educational clay school and community there is out there! They are so down to earth and generous with their knowledge, kindness, and time.

If you are a beginner or a seasoned potter, you will not regret becoming a Clayshare member. There are classes for everyone.
In addition to Jessica’s teaching style, which is so much better than any other teacher or professor I’ve ever had, you get the experience of all the members, too! Ask a question and the members respond with their knowledge, too. It’s an international community of clay artists that love learning and sharing with kindness.

  • A great community and resource!

There is a class for most everything related to ceramics. I’ve learned so much and have built my studio and practice using so much of this information. Jessica is sooo knowledgeable and is sooo generous with sharing. She’ll also readily tell you if she can’t answer a question and will give you information on who/where to find what you’re looking for. The sign of a true leader and teacher. There are workshops available also at ClayShare, which is great to get expert instruction from other artists and their specialties.

  • Jess is amazing

Jess’s ability to teach and explain techniques is so helpful for not only the beginner potter, but everyone. I enjoy watching the instructional videos as well as live at 5 etc. I have been inspired to return to pottery after a few years of time away. Our local instructors moved away so I didn’t have an avenue of learning and improving. Once I happened upon Jessica’s site etc I have returned to my passion. I love the variation of items she has on her site. Learning is such a joy, pottery is so much fun and rewarding.

  • Want to learn about creating beautiful pottery? or get some new ideas?

Then this is an excellent site! Many, many classes from which to choose, whether wheel-thrown or hand- built. Instructions delivered by a vivacious, knowlegable and very experienced potter, Jessica- who understands that there are different levels of experience coming to the site and never talks down or over anyone’s level. She understands and appeals to all- no question is silly or frivolous.
There are hundreds of projects to try- so I would highly recommend- Jessica the potter, along with her tech- saavy husband Kevin are offering a wonderful way to experience the building of beautiful ceramic pieces.

  • Worth every penny

Jessica and Kevin have put together a fabulous network of instructional videos for ALL levels if expertise. It does not matter if it is hand-built or wheel-thrown, Jess covers every avenue of making pottery sharing her creativity with everyone. The channel is free but the best part is the exclusive ClayShare Prime membership which at first seems pricy but in truth, is absolutely worth it. I visit the app on a daily basis and continue to soak up all her knowledge. Thanks.

  • Informative and Inspirational

I found Jessica and her tutorial on sweater mugs this past winter. I was instantly inspired by the whimsical designs and Jessica’s friendly demeanor. Jessica is a natural teacher. She is easy to listen to, easy to follow and always very encouraging. I was able to very quickly be successful in making my own mugs. I have since watched several other videos and tutorials and am always very eager to try these new techniques in my friends art studio.
Oh, and Kevin is great at the camera. I can easily see what Jessica is working on. Seriously this is a topnotch operation. So happy to have stumbled onto ClayShare.

  • So Happy to Join the ClayShare Family

I am so happy I found Jessica and Kevin! I’m a glass artist who always wanted to try making pots on a wheel. I failed miserably, watching many online videos and trying over and over for a few weeks. So finally I decided to try ClayShare as a prime member as my last effort. Well it worked! The lighthearted and knowledgeable approach by Jess and the technical savvy by Kevin made me relax and boom I was centering clay! I love the app! It broadcasts on my tv and makes seeing the details so easy. The segments flow so well. They make you feel welcome. I trust them and their authenticity in sharing is genuine.
