  • So Very Helpful!!

Spoonful has been such a big help to me as a new member of the “IBS TEAM”. You’ve taken a lot of the anxiety away from trying to figure out what I can eat. It doesn’t work in all my grocery stores (poor WIFI on their part I’m sure) but if I buy something not knowing if it’s Low FODMAP I can scan it at home and return the item if it’s not compatible. Can’t thank you enough!!!

  • Greatest App Ever

This app has changed my life! Being able to quickly, easily and accurately assess the FODMAP levels of food will provide you with the ability to manage this from day to day and over the short term which I have learned significantly improved my condition. I THOUGHT that I was doing well until I discovered this app and it allowed me to tweak and improve my diet which in turns has helped me to feel so much better. I want to sincerely thank the app developers and let them know what an impact that they have had on improving my quality of life.

  • Necessary for anyone with Celiacs!

This app has literally saved me so many times!! Being able to scan food items and quickly know if a food is safe to eat is just such a relief and has taken the guesswork out of grocery shopping. I especially love that they tell you the reasons the food is not gluten free and I have learned so much about various “hidden” gluten culprits through this feature. As someone with Celiac disease, I absolutely cannot live without this app!! So grateful for the creators!

  • Love!

Such an incredible app! I’ve been trying the low FODMAP diet to help with IBS and all the foods I’ve tried that are listed on this app are great and haven’t given me any issues! I’ve also been able to scan and submit foods that aren’t on the app and can be told if it matches my diet or not within just a few hours of sending it in which is super helpful. The team that runs this app are great and I absolutely recommend using this if you need to be aware of certain foods!

  • Handy and the team is quick to add new products

I’m newly celiac, so I have no idea what ingredients I can eat. I LOVE this app - I use it when I grocery shop, when I’m out and about, or when I visit other people’s houses. It’s got a huge library but if I happen upon a product that isn’t in the app already, I send some photos in and the product is added within a matter of hours. I can’t recommend this app enough!

  • Hope

I hope you guys are awsome, I have celiac disease, and I’m DONE getting GLUTENED!!! Why must everyone hide the fact that they are scrimping out on quality to save a buck, and poison me? Just be honest, and a side note, when did propylene glycol,AKA antifreeze, become ok to consume in ANY amount??? Just saying, Vanilla extract, Ken’s salad dressing, pupperoni, now my dogs treat is a lil’ poison too?

  • Meh, it’s okay.

I am giving this a 2 stars because of the lag I receive when scanning a product at a store. I also have an app called Yuka which as I scan an item at a store it immediately pops up but for some reason with this app, I scan and it takes a few to pull up results. Also a lot of items that were scanned unfortunately had no result therefore I am giving this a 2. I don’t think it’s worth the money with this hassle. Great concept but more items should be included plus some update needs to be done within the app to avoid the lag from happening.

  • Life saver!

When I was put on the low FOD map diet this app became essential. Though I already have been gluten-free for over 25 years and thought I really understood and could read a food label, I found following the low FOD map diet challenging once in the food store. This app help me safely navigate my new diet, helped me figure out what I could and could not eat and continues to be a valuable resource.

  • I love it, but I wish there was an alpha gal syndrome option

Let me start off by saying I really love this app. There are a few inconsistencies with certain foods (like if they have different flavors) but overall it’s an amazing guide and it’s very cheap. I have alpha-gal, an allergy to any mammal products, mammal byproducts and also eggs. While I can still manage to navigate, it would be much easier if the creators could put an alpha-gal diet option, especially since the number of cases are rising rapidly.
Other than that, it’s a really good app and they are amazing at reviewing new products and the ingredients lists. You can even put an item under review if you think there may be a wrong detail.

  • Worth the $$

After I was told I had to avoid Gluten, dairy, and dark meat, I went to the supermarket and left completely overwhelmed. It seemed like food shopping would now become a time consuming chore. I voiced my feelings on an FB POST and a good friend suggested Spoonful. I was turned off by the cost; I had never spent more than $10, once, on an app. But time is my most precious commodity, so the $20 has been paid for by the time I’ve saved and is ready to use.
