So easy to use
Just loving the latest update. It’s so easy to use . Love the fact that you now have the battery level both for phone and the Deeper. One of my favorite feature is clearly the mapping. Thanks Deeper
Great sonar technology, bad app
The app worked much better a few years ago. Now it’s so buggy that I don’t even know where to start. I like the product a lot, but they need to revisit their software architecture and UI/UX.

Logging when in remote areas?
I fish in pretty remote areas far out of cell range and on my very first trip to test my new Chirp, I paddled out to my favorite fishing spot only to discover you can’t use the app unless you login before you leave and just leave the app open until you get there. Arrggh. When I initially received my new Chirp, like a good soldier I read everything carefully and made sure I setup my account on Deeper and the Fish Deeper App properly. Pretty disappointing and very frustrating after a 100 mile round trip. After catching a couple fish the old fashioned way and returning home I've since scrubbed every resource I can find, including the user manual, and find no information regarding this issue. Is there a way to interface with the sonar device without providing login credentials through this app? Can we stay logged in after closing the app, just in case? My shiny new Chirp is probably a great fish finder but I haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet and now they just closed all our Forests due to fires! It does make a good paperweight and interesting conversation piece in the meantime. I’ll refrain from returning the Chirp for a refund and being negative by giving the app less that 5 stars for now.

A great fishing tool
I don’t think I can imagine going fishing without the Deeper anymore. It is so handy for getting a quick but clear idea of the structure of any body of water. It really helps to determine what method would work best to catch fish. The versatility is unmatched. I can bank fish, kayak fish, ice fish all with one device that fits in my pocket. Why would you lug a huge battery around when you can use a Deeper instead?!

Great app, average product
I was recently gifted the deeper start, and it’s helped immensely with discovering the depth and weed lines of my local fishing holes. The app is extremely responsive and user friendly, so that’s a plus. My only complaint is with the reliability of the fish finder. I’ve casted directly over multiple obvious schools of fish in various depths to test it, and sadly nothing showed up. I had the sensitivity turned to max and to show fish of all sizes, but according to the app I was fishing an empty lake. All things considered though, it’s a well made app, and a great cast-able depth finder, but a pretty poor fish finder. (Deeper Start)

Hi Trever, The algorithm that interprets the sonar readings and assigns fish icons may make mistakes. The sonar itself most likely does get reflections of the fish, but the algorithm fails to identify them. We're working on introducing "RAW" mode for the START model that wills how you the actual sonar reflections. that way, you'll be able to see the actual data it gets and interpret it yourself. It's impossible to make the fish icon algorithm entirely accurate and no sonar maker has been able to do so. Let us know at support@deeper.eu if you want to know more about this.
Seeing a lot of connection issues
I am getting a lot of lost connections. Seems to get worse the lower the battery is. Had no connection issues on full charge, however below 50% battery it disconnected a lot more
Worked just like it says right out of the box
I’m a little new to fishing but very competitive. I saw the Deeper Sonar Pro+ as an advantage I would have over other Anglers. I fish from Docks and River Banks and this gives me the ability to see what under the water. I have Located, Targeted and Caught fish using mine. I highly recommend it to all Anglers from beginners to experts.
