  • Awesome, quick, resource tool!

I don’t write reviews for iOS unless it truly needs it. This app needs it! I started using it when Arceus was released, I hadn’t really played Pokémon in over a decade, so I forgot, or didn’t all the weaknesses of them. Being able to quickly look them up without a Wiki page was perfect. Now that Scarlet/Violet is out, I’ve been using it again. Thank you for all your hard work on it, and keeping it up to date, that’s rare in the independent app biz, another reason this app deserves praise! I’ll be using it for all future games!

  • New user first impressions

I’ve just started using the app to replace an older app I once used that was very good and now doesn’t exist. I’ve struggled to find a good alternative since, however this app appears to be a good competitor and has much more features from just being a Pokédex.
You can setup your teams from all versions of Pokémon games and include specific information about each Pokémon on your team. If you buy premium you can build multiple teams.
My current most used feature on the app is the type chart, incredibly useful and efficient, not only does it show the chart but you can pick types (single or dual) and it will bring up all the information about it for you underneath, so it’s a very good all in one place for your Pokémon needs!

One complaint I have is that when looking to view the shiny forms, you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page. I would much prefer to be able to see a side by side comparison of the shiny and the original as well as being able to see the 3D models of both, not just the 2D sprite/ image.

  • Useful idea but fatally flawed

If I click the option to “Sort by Regional Dex” why would the resulting list use national dex numbers? I need a patch asap ! I paid the full $5 to have a handy and uncomplicated reference tool. I feel dumb. Why would a “List”layout label a section “1-50” and leave you to do the math yourself instead of just having the nuBERS THERE TO HELP!?!! Why is there no option to change this? I mean you are supposed to be a pokédex… no need to do too much. Just make a list, Frriggin number it. like what the heck (with an ‘f’ and a ‘u’ instead of ‘he’). keeping it PG so u see this.

    update: I was wrong, Sway.

    There is a search bar…. That’s embarrassing.

  • Was Going To Give 5 Stars But…

Alola, before you start reading I do recommend this app it is an amazing app made by amazing developers. Just one problem. It’s only amazing if you pay the money for premium with all games (which do not fear it is a one time purchase). So if you don’t wanna pay you can’t do much. Other than that way better than any other app I’ve used for Pokémon if you are willing to pay it is a must have for your Pokémon adventures!

  • Love this app!

I have found this app to be one of the better Pokédex apps. It is updated quickly when new games are released and receives regular updates to correct bugs or just add extra content. I find it easy to navigate and search the information I need. What rates it at 4 stars for me is I would love just a basic filter for types in the free version of the app. All sorts and filters are locked until you pay. Granted the price is really not that bad and I like the app so much this one gripe doesn’t keep me from using this as my primary Pokédex resource. Thanks for a great Pokédex and all the hard work that goes into keeping the app updated with all the most recent Pokémon information!!

  • It’s a very handy, convenient, and useful

As stated in the title, this app is super convenient, especially if your doing research, with the new release of Pokémon scarlet and violet, even though the logs are brand new they are super helpful, I can see the effort and time put into the app.

I enjoy the checklist feature especially enjoy the checklist feature, because it allows me to keep track of Pokédex progress without having to go through and entire menu and scrolling through just to see which Pokémon I don’t have.

I can’t even begin to start on how many times I’ve caught myself looking at the type chart in the middle of a battle because I forget which type is weaker or stronger to which.

Those are only the tip of the iceberg so if your reading the reviews I would highly recommend getting the app because it’s just so convenient to have, it’s up to dat and the devs are updating with as much as they can with the information currently available!

  • 👍

good but needs an option to show all pokemon from all games at once
  • The BEST PokéDex app!

I love everything about this app. It’s so great for managing teams and looking for Pokémon. I adore the UI design and layout and how straight up clean this looks. The $5 is definitely worth the spend, as there’s so much to use. I only have 2 requests to help the app look even better than it is. Some of the Pokémon with multiple forms only display one; Deerling and Sawsbuck for example. Hoping the team could maybe add the other forms? My other request is a Nat Dex option to look at all the Pokémon collectively. The team has stated they’re looking into this and I understand that it’s a radical task to take on, so I hope they take all the time they need to get it out! All around—this app is ESSENTIAL for Pokémon game players.

  • Great, but not perfect

It would be really nice to be able to use the app offline. I also think there are some ways to make the app more user-friendly. For example, if I’m making a checklist, I don’t like having to go back to the PokéDex category and making sure I have the right checklist selected. I think the app should take you straight to the version Dex selected in your checklist. It’s also rather difficult having to go through all the versions to make a checklist for the National Dex.

Team Builder is okay. I understand why some people would like all the information in front of them immediately, but for a more casual user who just wants to make some teams to compare it’s rather annoying to have to edit and scroll through everything. Maybe keep everything concise, and when tapped on the Pokémon’s information expands?

  • A great app with one annoying consistent glitch

As a casual player with a lot of playtime, I love ProDex. It’s easy to set up a checklist to keep track of which Pokémon you caught and I often use it to quickly look up type-weaknesses and stats.

However, there is a glitch that makes using it a little less convenient. If you use the app for more than two minutes, you’ll find that the entire app freezes up on you. You options are to wait it out, or close the app and open it again. A small glitch, but the amount of times it happens can get quite annoying.

I still think it’s a great app. You can get data for about every main series Pokémon game, and I’ll likely be using it for Scarlet and Violet when it comes out. Keep in mind, however, that this comes from someone who hasn’t tried other Pokédex apps on the App Store.
