  • Permanent loading screen

I’m a new photographer to the app and I just finished my on boarding. It will not let me bypass the quick survey no matter how many times I’ve uninstall the app, closed it, and anything else I could’ve done to make it bypass the quick survey screen about new equipment. I cannot perform anything for snapper unless it gets fixed. There is also no way to contact the health center from the website dashboard and no way to change anything about your personal profiles with this quick survey, permanent loading screen.
  • Good for amateurs, bad for professionals

So I decided once I was recruited last November privately from my own website to join Snappr, I gave it a try thinking that maybe I’ll have a slow week and I can fill in my schedule with a few extra shoots. The process on the app wasn’t terrible was quite easy to set up your availability and what types of services you would like to provide. The challenge I had was if I had to cancel anything for a last-minute emergency they used a point system and you were deducted points significantly regardless of the reason for the cancellation.

The final one was I accepted a shoot on a Saturday at 4 PM and the client the next day said they made the booking in error and it was supposed to be on Sunday I let them know that my availability was blocked out on Sundays and they would need to find a different Photographer because of it.

Snappr reached out to me asking if I was OK with taking a shoot on the Sunday and I mentioned the same thing to the client that I am blocked out on Sundays and I am unavailable. About an hour later I got a notification saying that I was deducted points for the shoot being canceled and I just picked up the night before and to me that was kind of the final straw where this wasn’t gonna be a good fit for me especially since I run my own company and I am essentially competing with them on some aspects of my service.

If you are just getting started into photography And have very little experience, this might be a good fit for you to get your feet wet, so to speak. The pay isn’t great just keep that in mind. If you’re someone who runs you own business, keep running your business! And putting all efforts towards that, don’t make the mistake that I made to have a back up plan in case I’m not busy from time to time!
  • Cannot access my photos

I completed my shoot and the pictures are loaded on the site but the app won’t show me anything until I’m “onboarded”? Great business idea, pretty useless app
  • Cheap

They keep us at the same rate which they started years ago

Make money out of prints with the photographer work with zero commissions for the artist

Since photographers keep complaining, they want to launch premium features which are EXTRA to the unlimited pictures we have to offer already.

Is a rip off… if you’re a professional photographer stay away from this company.

Go for it if you’re new and need the experience 👍
  • Why not letting customer to choose photographer they like?

I am really bothered by the fact that Snappr use an algorithm to “recommend” photographer to customer. In reality this algorithm has nothing to do with recommendations. It is all about Snappr politics, who they like, who’s a better yes man etc. has nothing to do with the quality of photographer’s work. Snappr, if you are a legitimate business that cherish transparency, fairness, customer first. Let your customer choose who they like to work with. Let photographer’s work speak up. I gave it two star instead of one, is because there are still some good folks in the business. Hope they will prevail

The company management was unprofessional and petty, they are not going anywhere, just trying to drive everything to the bottom. Say No to Snappr
  • Thanks Snappr pros

The greatest photoshoot experience I've ever had!
  • For proposal shoots

Tim was a fantastic photographer for my surprise proposal. Him and his partner went above and beyond to scout out the area about 1 hour ahead of time, which was very helpful when it was action time. After capturing our moment, Tim stayed and guided a few more poses with a variety of unique backgrounds to help capture the excitement that we experienced that night. Above all, he took the time to communicate with me and had me informed at every step of the way, which helped me execute my plan to perfection. I highly recommend him for a proposal shoot.
  • additional features

they recently asked for feedback on this and I hope they apply it cause this app is really more useful for us photographers who are always out and about going to our photoshoots
