  • Worth it but....

First, it is a great brain challenge. Second, the ads are horribly long. Just pay the $4.99. Worth it.

    To the developers:
Please fix the tutorial step with the letter Y and four letters being required. You make us try the fail step; we get that there are not four letters. But you have no way to skip to the next tutorial step. We have to wait for it to time out.

Please give us option to skip the tutorial.

PLEASE give us an undo button. Even just for one level. That would be super helpful when learning.

  • Love this game!

I am addicted to this game! I’m an avid reader, love words and enjoy adding new ones to my vocabulary. If you play the game often, it’s definitely worth paying for the ad free version. My favorite game is Zen in the expanded menu. There’s no time limit and I find it very relaxing. This isn’t a “word search” where you look for a list of words. It’s up to you to put the letters together in any connected, random way possible to make a word. I’m from the States but I love all the Scottish words in the dictionary. Try it - I hope you enjoy it as much as I.

    Thank you to the creator!

  • Frustrating

I love word games, because I find them relaxing. Because I play them to relax, I typically don’t play against others, and I don’t play with timers or time limits. With this in mind, there’s really only one option in this game to play: Tower.

Tower is enjoyable enough; however, it is not exactly for people who like to challenge themselves. There are a few “bonus” letters (X, Z, Q, and J) in virtually every board. Naturally, I like to try to challenge myself with those letters first. The problem is: the boards rarely provide enough letters surrounding these bonus letters to do much. I’m so tired of playing versions of “sex.”

Other times, I can see terrific word possibilities — only to be missing one or two vital letters. This happens way too often to be coincidence.

If you’re satisfied with making a lot of words with 3, 4, and 5 letters, you might enjoy this game. I will keep looking for other similar games that do provide the opportunity to challenge my word knowledge.

  • Great game with many modes of play.

I’m a big fan of word games and this one does not disappoint. Lots of fun and varied modes of play, thinking fast or slow.

Only criticism is the change of its great unique icon to an almost all yellow one! Why? Please change it back or allow user to choose.
  • Great game, but one major issue

The feature that allows you to challenge a word is completely broken. Every single time I challenge a word, it says “Sorry, *Word* is not a word!” I have, on numerous occasions, checked the dictionary, and sure enough, the word I am challenging is indeed a word. I am so close to deleting this game because of this issue. I do really enjoy the game though, and this is the only reason keeping me a higher review. Fix this issue, and maybe add an undo button, and this is a five start game. Oh and the ads are often too long. A thirty second ad after every few words is excessive.

  • A game I play every night!

This game is the only games I’ve paid for to unlock the full version! I love this game so much, my favorite mode is the puzzle mode but the others are fun too! I play the puzzle mode every night before bed as my unwinding time! It’s fun, straightforward, and not frustrating! I like trying to beat my high score but even when I can’t it’s one of the few games I don’t get frustrated with and will continue to play! It’s a very easygoing game, and I love the simplicity of the interface! The only suggestion I have is (in the puzzle mode) it would be soooo nice to have like at least one shuffle per game because sometimes the letter that pop up are all consonants or all vowels together and it’s impossible to make a word!! Other than that, It’s perfect! Love it!!

  • Undo button please?!?!?!?

LOVE THIS GAME!!!! But I would definitely enjoy it more with an undo button, even if it were limited to a couple uses per game. I frequently find myself accidentally submitting words when using the swipe feature to select letters. It gets very frustrating!!
  • Don’t challenge words

One of the many drawbacks to this game is the lack of ability to challenge words. If the word isn’t in the games knowledge base, it doesn’t work. I’ve challenged a word, been denied and lost a turn, only to open up my dictionary and find the word right there in black and white.

Outside of that, the game is okay, except for when it doesn’t sync the previous day challenges, or freezes when it is trying to load a puzzle. And that doesn’t begin to touch the surface on ads.

  • Claim support for Family Sharing, but...

My wife paid for this app, and it says “family sharing.” We’re a family of two, so I should be able to get it onto my iPad without ads, right?
Wrong. Does not work any way I can figure.
OK, so I don’t want to pan the app for this, so I write e-mail to the authors. It takes about 10 minutes to find a website - yes I know there’s a link from the App Store to the developer’s website, but stuff isn’t maintained.
    And I send an e-mail.
    No answer.
And weeks later, still no answer.
And like others said, the ads are relentless, which is why it was worth paying for the game...
So if someone can help get Family Sharing to, you know, share, I will raise my rating.
Although it might take me a month or two to get around to it...

  • Word database could be more complete

There have been instances when I will have a word that is the unabridged Merriam Webster dictionary that is not accepted by this app. This is really annoying when playing Daily Search to learn this after having already played the first word. There should be a way to undo the first word if the second word is not accepted.
