Good to bad in one update..

Been using for a while with no issues and it worked for me, however the recent update has changed the layout of things including the reports. Where before I could see monthly usage in a user friendly chart and screen grab, a third of the screen is now used to select data display in terms of day, month or year which then makes the important information that you need such as monthly use/cost drop off the screen and unable to view…genius work! Please go back to the old version…

Scheduling issue

As with many others this app worked well for several months. Unfortunately this is no longer the case and the scheduling function keeps dropping out. This is both costing money and making planning of charging very difficult and frustrating.
I would advise you steer away from this app and the Andersen EV charger until the issue with the app is rectified, it can not be relied on to deliver.

Losing patience, not currently doing what it is specified to do

Box looks great. Worked as expected for a few months. App looks good. Worked well for a few months. All of a sudden the app keeps losing the scheduler so it starts charging at peak times. The lights have stopped working on the box which isnt an issue and a hard reset fixes but how can a box priced so much higher than competitors not work properly - what did I pay for ? Customer service are pleasant but have no solution for the scheduler and haven’t done for months - a fox is coming, they say. I selected this box partly due to the scheduler to work with octopus go and having read issues about alternative products decided to pay more for this one. Very disappointed now, the scheduler cancelling itself is now costing me money every time as the car charges at peak rate which adds up when it’s every other time I charge (daily for commute). I often take people whinging about tech issues lightly as it’s often down to them - in this case I can be clear it worked for a few months, then stopped. I have changed nothing, have still have strong wifi and the mfr acknowledges they have an issue. Id be tempted to say don’t buy this product until they fix those issues which is a shame as it should be excellent.

Not great for the price of the solution

I have had the system for over 12 months. It usually works fine but but have had two significant bugs ( one current) that should not really be happening. First one was the system kept disabling itself and could only be fixed by unplugging it, not great when you rely on it to charge overnight. The second one is as per others, it keeps losing the scheduler. Not great to find out that it did not charge overnight…again. This last one is still not fixed. ( been 3 months). For such an expensive ‘plug’, this is poor.

Someone needs to fix schedule bug!!!!!!

I’ve had my Andersen EV charger for nearly 12 months. Worked great until the last 4 weeks or so, where my schedule for lower electricity tariff keeps being forgotten after 2-3 days!
Andersen get onto this and push an update that solves this please! Liking in the App Store the last update was 5 months ago - pre iOS 15 release!

Scheduler doesn’t work

The charger is great and the App was fine but for some reason the scheduler no longer works. So instead of turning on when electricity is cheap it just charges whenever you plug in. I have emailed Anderson and they don’t seem to have a solution. It’s gone of for quite some time now so it’s getting frustrating

Good app. Solar improvement suggestion

The app is great. I have feature improvement request. For solar charging please increase the number of steps at the top end of solar / grid mix. Currently it’s 100, 75, 50, 25 and 0 % grid. At 0% the device tries to maintain a bit of export. At the next set down it pulls some grid but it’s not insignificant. Having say a 5% and 10% grid would fix this and ensure that as much solar as possible goes into the car.

Intermittent problems

The concept is good but the performance of the system is not reliable. Occasional failures with the unit randomly entering “disabled” status from which it is hard to “reconnect”; the app does not allow you to “re-enable” and the various reset options do not work. The customer support is slow (non-existent on weekends) and just hope that you do not need to urgently resolve issues.

So far so good

I’ve had no issues and have been able to disable and enable the charge point remotely, which is a great feature. The UI could be better and it’s a bit slow to load up your reports, so perhaps these could be cached in the app. The only real admission seems to be the ability to get a notification when the charging has stopped (e.g, connected but not charging) in case there’s an issue and you’re not caught short when you jump in the car or as a reminder to unplug the cable if preferred.

Disappointing

Tried logging in which said password reset required. Had to go through this process twice, perhaps password now doesn’t like a special character?? Managed to login to app but my charger doesn’t show as connected. Using Ethernet connection as before.

Edit: in searching for email to reply to support discovered an email from them in junk/spam with some instruction. Reset my charger, it’s connected but app has crashed several times and even just shows a white screen. There appears to be no option to lock charger or change its settings/name for example.
