  • Gold Wall

    So much to say here:
First, it tries to be HOMM but is not near as good
Second, the animations are not even animations. They just wiggle a bit
Third, the sound effects are garbage. The ogres make cow sounds?
    No story
    Repetitive fights with no depth
Still, I spent some money to see how much time I could sink in this game. It was boring and repetitive for the few days I played. even if you spend money there is not enough gold to upgrade your troops. There is no way to grind gold and the gem cost of gold is asinine.
    Hard pass

  • Ok but too casual

Tries to be like Heroes of Might and Magic, but there are key differences that keep it from really being a good game. The main one is that any units you lose in a battle are automatically regained over a short period of time (seconds to minutes). So there's never any risk of doing a fight. Second, there are no enemy heroes, no castles to capture that give you more skills and units, in fact no unit generators at all (since you don't permanently lose units they're not necessary), and no story. So there's no real incentive to play other than collecting more units and heroes and upgrading them (and your hero).

The art and sounds are fine, though nothing amazing. Combat is pretty similar to HoMaM at least, which is the highlight of the game. There is map exploration, but it's mostly linear - it's really just to go from one fight and treasure to the next.

There's one bug I've found too - the videos to watch to give you free resources and units don't work about 1/3 of the time - you watch the video but don't get the reward. So you have to watch another to get the reward. 😒

  • Decent game

This is very similar to the computer game Heroes of might and magic, with some of the troops, attacking strategies, magic spells, etc. since it is so similar why not update the game to be the iOS version of that game. After all Heroes of Magic and Magic lll is by far the best version that was created and I still play it today. The later versions were not as good. This game has potential to be great. If the developers don’t want to make it amazing as it has the potential to truly be, then at least get rid of the chest wait time and gems. Creating a decent game just to try and get money from customers is not the way to go. Spend the time and create an amazing game that people will pay a flat fee to have all the bells and whistles. If this was the iOS version of heroes of might and magic ll or lll I would gladly pay $20 for it. But I won’t spend a cent on this game as it’s not ready yet but it has potential.

Update: I just uninstalled the game after playing it for about an hour and won’t play it again unless they make the necessary updates.

  • Great Game

See some of those negative comments saying it is pay to win and a bad game but I disagree.
The game is pay to win faster and I like that I have almost won the game and haven’t spent any money.
Just hopping there will be more maps thank :)
  • Terrible

Just a rip off of the real games. All you’ll do is watch 30 second videos. There are 2 things to do in the game. Arena, which quickly gets to the point where you can’t win anymore. Maps, where you will walk around and fight other monsters. That also becomes impossible after a few days. You just won’t have enough creatures to compete with the ones on the map. Gold is way too scarce and you’ll never have enough to level your creatures. Trust me and stay away.

  • Disappointed

Different characters shown in the pictures. Only way to advance is to pay for gold / gems . Utter garbage, uninstalling 0/10 ign.
  • Shameless Devs

Trying to cash in on nostalgia over what has to be some copyright infringement- they fail to put in half as much polish as the developers of HoMM: 2. All the polish that is in this game is on exploitative predatory practices common in mobile games.

The leaderboard is a clear sham filled with bots and scripted events geared to prod people along this shallow hamster wheel, the only aspect with polish. It has the standard set- timers that gate your playtime forcing small sessions and recurrence, ads for everything so they milk you for money, artificial “competition” to push or drag you along, bundles of sales anchored by terrible base prices so you think you’re getting “good value” over arbitrary endless numbers...

The actual game is depressing. Combat AI is infantile. There is 0 actual animation, just squishing or moving the character cutout. They cut out 2/3s of the components of the game. The developers are fans of money and cheap ripoffs, not the old classic HoMMs that are still playable.

  • Closest clone yet

I have played a lot of so called clones but this is by far the best I have played. Although it is a bit easy I’m hoping the challenge steps up a bit later on. No auto battles here!
  • The other reviewers are spot on

While the game is entertaining, I’ve noticed things such as while climbing the ladder, it’s so obvious that 3 bots will make it impossible for you to just skyrocket to 1st. I’ll make it to 1st, do the story for about 20 minutes or log out, come back and I’m still in 1st. But the second I start doing ranked again, all of a second I’m in 2nd and they are just stuck to me. I’m always wary of company’s that do this sort of stuff, so I’ll probably uninstall.

  • Pay to Win!

Game rewards is horrendous. Gold and rubies are hard to come across and there is no other way to farm for this unless you’re willing to pay to get such resource. If you want long tern players maybe add more values as to mobs to spawn of some sort so that we can progress.

Once you’re stuck the only way to add more soldiers and gold is the dailies which in turn have poor gold rewards.
