Great app
I’m pleasantly surprised by this app. It does exactly what it says it does, and is easy to navigate. Shows you exactly what you need, and being able to swipe between abilities to skills to spells is handy and fluid, for example. Recommend for a D&D player, especially if you have an existing account.

A Solid Start
This app is very much a combat tracker at the moment. You can track HP, used spell slots (but no spell descriptions), rests, per-rest abilities, and conditions, but not much else. You can’t level up or un/equip weapons or armour, nor can you change your inventory, or view notes or character description. Also, no in-app dice roller.
It does have an in-app browser that takes you to your character sheet so you can make adjustments there. Not, of course, the point of an app, but DDB has been a reliable, if slow, developer and I’m confident all these features will be added over the coming months.
The iPad app uses the mobile (phone) layout instead of the desktop web layout. I guess this is understandable. The extra screen real estate makes it easier to use than on the phone but a dedicated iPad app would have been nice. (I doubt it’s worth the developer resources, however.)
If you’re new to D&D Beyond you should go check out the website And start there. If you have an account, this will be a useful adjunct for those times you can’t get online. I look forward to it growing and expect this to become a 5-star app soon.

Pretty Good!
From what I can see of the app, it’s pretty good! It did take a little while to download, but that might just be because of my device. However, I don’t see a way to roll dice like on the website. This app will be extremely useful, as it allows me to only need one tab open on my computer when I play. It makes it so much easier to access all my character’s stats and info, even if some of the tabs (such as notes) are still under development and can’t be used. Even with two monitors, needing two websites open at the sane time while also having a communication software open on the second monitor can be a little difficult to manage. Thank you for making this app, it’s going to make my life so much easier!! My only suggestion at this point is to add a dice rolling feature like the one on the website.

Work in progress, but great start.
Always a fan of dndbeyond and their tools. This is a nice, simple, and clean app. For what is there, it seems to function properly and it’s easy to cycle around. I cant seem to manage from the app to “prepare” spells, so I’d have to go to the website and come back, resolving that would be nice. It’d also be nice to integrate backgrounds and frames onto the app as well so all the characters don’t look the same; it’s a little dark as is. I see this growing and becoming a nice alternative for players versus logging in through the web browser as it becomes more expansive.
