You can only summarize so much in 5 minutes with a given format
It is great that you can get a summary in a few minutes while following a format. But it ends up butchering an entire book or the core messages. I have a read a few classics and when I went through their summaries - I felt it was so diluted and almost like something else with no relevance to the original. Filling the format also does not help. Great effort but the given format got tired too quickly and these summaries the way they are done does not do justice to the original. Given our 5-minute Hack format, it's not possible to cover the entire book, course, documentary or podcast. I have been using this app daily for over a year. One of the favorite parts of my day. I can pick books or summaries of documentaries. It seems to have it all. I even went to a couple of conferences and book recommended there were on Uptime!
I never though I would pay for another year, but I tried the free version for a few days & decided- nope! I have to go back to the full versionShow lessNurse RN 1

I had some issues with payment but Support Team has helped me with that. I still feel that subscription process and cancellation should be more clear and easier. I would prefer to manage it in the App or via App store. Application is itself very good and user friendly. When I used it it really helped me to get a good insight and summary about the books. As a reader who wants to read as many different genres as I can this app is fantastic. It is a great way to remember books I have read but need reminding of such as, ‘A Brief History Of Time’ or books I would not consider reading but curious about the content such as, ‘Spare’. There is a plethora of information waiting to be read or listened to. It is like standing in a book shop flicking through books to get the gist of the book. It is so addictive and worth every penny of the subscription.Show lessmessytart

I was interested in what I could learn and tried out the trial. I canceled it after a few days because there were some noticeable issues such as repetitive quotes every single time. Or the app wouldn’t work if I put down my phone and let it turn off. Also the audio would never work with my car. I was still charged $80 for the subscription even though I cancelled before the trial ended. I don’t have the app downloaded and haven’t for ages. I have tried disputing with Apple then tried reaching out to Uptime’s customer service and NOTHING. They don’t exist at this point. Last thing I can try is disputing with my bank. Horrible customer service because it’s nonexistent and glitchy subscription.Show lessBooksandHoney

Hi, I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. If you purchased your subscription via the App Store, only they can refund you. We don't handle the purchasing process at all. Hello. I just downloaded this app and I’m already obsessed with it. In my free time, I usually waste it on tik tok or social platform. Now, I use it on this app where I can learn more about the economy and where my time is used in a good way.

I just started using the app and familiarizing myself with it but so far I really enjoy it. I was surprised how quickly the algorithm picked up on what content I would enjoy. I was also surprised to learn how much information can be compiled in just 5 minutes. I would suggest trying them out because it is quite engaging and it’s such an easy way to exercise our brains with some valuable content.Show lesshgfy56

Please update your recommender algorithm. As a data scientist and machine learning practitioner, your programmers are failing you. The app repeated provides recommendations for the same book over and over… for Hacks that I’ve already heard multiple times. Also, your app should be able to tell which “books” I’ve already listened to, so I don’t have to listen to them over and over again when I try auto play in the car. I definitely do not recommend this app and will not renew again when my subscription expires. I’m going back to Blinkist.Show lessZayND

Hi ZayND, I'm sorry you experienced this issue. We had a little bug which has since been dealt with. We're also actively working on improving our recommendations, so hopefully, things can only get better. 🤓Quickly becoming my new favorite app
I fell in love with this app overnight and it has quickly become my go to for all things big and small. Whenever I have free time, instead of mindlessly scrolling Instagram, I now have the luxury of being able to learn whatever I want, in the version of very digestible information from all the books I’ve always wanted to read, but no longer have the time for!
