  • The best app hands down

I’ve been looking for an app like this, all my tech life! The developer thought of many things throughout the updates. The way you can use notes and Tasks is done right! The only thing that could make this better than it already is, is having some form of collaboration and comments, other than that this is what I use to manage my life and my knowledge base system. I can’t live without it. If you’ve been looking for an app that does everything you need in regards to tasks and notes look no further this is it. Oh, I forgot to mention the calendar integration is so so so good. if you made it this far and haven’t tried the app what are you doing! Download it and try it for yourself.

  • This is the app you have been looking for

Noteplan does EVERYTHING and it does it well. The few things it can’t do would only add clutter and friction. I’ve tried every note taking, planning, and calendar app. This has been the app that seamlessly connects my notes, my tasks, my events, my reminders, and my writing.

Note+Plan is a perfect name for it because that’s exactly what it is.

Noteplan has effectively allows me to take notes on a meeting event, and in the note create a task that then reflects on my task list. Everything is connected and the task shows the reference to the note it was created in.

You can customize Noteplan from the fonts, colors and even the UI. It truly feels like an extension of my personality.

Best of all, the community is strong. They are all very helpful towards each other.

I’ve never met an app designer like Ed. He not only connects with his users but also listens to them. He replies to EVERYTHING! Noteplan users are like a family.

  • Works with my style (whatever it may beat the moment)

Productivity systems always work well for me… until circumstances change or my todo list just blows up into hundreds of now irrelevant tasks. NotePlan gives me the flexibility to change how I manage things as my circumstances change. It doesn't force me into a particular system. When I do adjust how I am managing things, everything is archived, searchable, and if I want, cross referenced so I don’t loose anything. So far this is the only tool I see working for me over the long haul. If I ever did want to move to another tool, everything is saved in easily findable files that are readable by any text reader. I won’t loose all my recipes or even my current todo list.

While I can share todo lists and notes (really the same thing in NotePlan), I do wish I could have others edit what I share (for example, a shared grocery list or project plan).

Great product that is very actively developed.

Thank you for your kind review and for taking the time to write one. I’m very glad to hear you enjoy NotePlan. You can share individual notes with other NotePlan users, see the Lab Settings to active the sharing, it's still work in progress, but that one should work. Let us know how it goes! • Can’t believe I just found this app!

This is a great discovery; a very flexible but logical and helpful task/time-blocking/note taking app. A way to capture thoughts simply via Markdown, plan flexibly but with time blocks as needed, and a completely portable data set that doesn’t even need to be exported to be readable. Incredible!
This app by default is organized around the PARA method which I had not heard of but am enjoying. Also to me it’s the most similar thing I’ve found to my paper Bullet Journaling setup which is a big complement.
At first glance reminds me of Agenda, but that app never made sense to me and this one is intuitive right away.

  • The app I've been looking for

I've tried a lot of apps! My search has been for an app that I can plan my day with, my week with, and also take notes with. That sounds like a small order but it's really a big one. Most note taking apps aren't at all ordered by any sense of calendar, so you have to do all that yourself. And many others make templates for each day far from intuitive.

Noteplan is literally what the name says it is: it helps you build notes that plan and structure your life.

What I love about it is that it feels like a native Apple app in many ways. It's like a robust Apple Notes. I love it, and feel that I've found the tool I'm thrilled to stick with.

  • Favorite app, best developer

I’ve been using NotePlan for about two years and it has gradually taken over my entire workflow. I use it to plan my months, weeks, and days; track the 20 or so separate projects I manage; and generally organize dozens of meetings each week. You can store and edit files, create tables, and timeblock in ways that my todoist / calendar combo could only dream of.

The developer, Eduard, is fantastic. He responds to problems and suggests, and consistently puts out excellent updates with quick how-to videos.

My wife has now adopted NotePlan to manage her two businesses. This app is going to running our whole house before too long!

  • This is a dev I'm happy to support

I can't say enough good things about the app itself. It's unique, well designed, and I use it daily to keep my life organized. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into every aspect of the UI as well as how the vast amount of features work within the interface. There's honestly no other app that does everything this app does as well as it does, so don't waste your time trying to find one. Trying to write a review for this app is a challenge because it does so much so well that you begin to take a lot of the feature set for granted over time. The dev also has a lot of my respect and is one that I'll support long term because they chose to grandfather pricing for those of us that have been here from the start rather than punish us for being a part of this journey with them. <3

  • Great App All Around

Have to say app is pretty good. To have notes, reminder & calendar in one setting is a time saver to say at least. Being able to add notes/checklist to your day view it pretty awesome. The developer has thought of alot with this app. Note taking is quiet stunning. I’ve reached out to the developer on a couple occasions & he’s replied back pretty quick which says a lot & it’s appreciated. Can’t wait to see what else this app will entail in the future. I use the reminders app pretty frequently too so I’m hoping more integration w/ this will help me as well.

  • Really great — the big picture

There are lots of great things to say about this app, but I think the top-line item is this: It has SUCH a good vibe — a balanced mix of features, a really thoughtful and interesting design, and (as you can see from the reviews) a *very* responsive developer. Some people won't like it because it isn't exactly like some other app, straddles a few categories, or doesn't adhere strictly to some 'method,' but for me that's a big part of what makes it so excellent.

I genuinely appreciate and respect the fanaticism of those developers who've ruthlessly focused on UI simplicity or a methodology, and their influence is everywhere; but I also want apps that are more flexible, even gentle, and for me Noteplan hits that spot. It has a rich feature set that mostly allows you follow your favorite approach, but it doesn't require you to do that — it lets you adapt and mix them. It is and *feels* rock-solid. And it's also young and small enough to have an active, constructive community of users — and a developer who listens to them on an individual basis.

  • One of Three All Time Best Apps

This app came highly recommended to me from a trusted source, and I have not been disappointed. I have only used 3 apps since the inception of the iPhone in 2007 that I heavily rely on for peak performance in my work/home life, and NotePlan3 is one of those apps, and it just keeps getting better. It is the only app to offer robust calendaring & project management with the ability to cover all the other bases along the way.

Just one word of advice, read the tutorials and watch the videos so you can experience ALL the bells and whistles (once I had reviewed them, what I was able to do with the app skyrocketed).
