  • Constant improvements

I love the constant steam of incremental improvements to existing features like faster search and more capable filters. There are always bigger things at play too but I appreciate the incremental improvements to the core functionality the most. I also love Eduard’s personal approach to the product and communication with his customers.

  • The best just got better

I've been a notion users, one note user for the longest time up to a year ago. NotePlan is just thought through better. Better search, task management. And now weekly notes. Seems so simple, yet so valuable and missing everywhere else. I plan my days and my weeks. Things I want to accomplish in a week sometimes include a days task but most of the time not. Having a reminder up top for your priorities everyday really does make you more productive. A++

  • Best. App. Ever.

I know that is a big claim, but I am someone who owns every planner and notebook under the sun, and nothing was exactly what I needed.

This app is exactly what I needed. I have been using Noteplan for years now, and every time I am feeling the desire to try something else, I change the theme or they come out with an update and the desire fades away.

The structure and flexibility is perfect for someone transitioning to a digital notetaking solution from bullet journaling. The app has tons of features and syncs quickly across all my devices, and they are constantly improving and adding new features that have been requested by a tight knit and growing community. I love the integration with my calendar and notes on all my apple devices, and the fact that it runs beautifully on my mac and my ipad pro.

There are too many amazing things to list here, but to summarize - well done, noteplan3!!

  • Full-featured note app for the power user.

I’ve cycled thru many note taking apps, this is by far my favorite. Keyboard shortcuts and easy markdown language, integration with to do‘s and calendar, fast synchronization across devices using cloud kit, and an excellent user interface that is more well thought out than almost any other app that I use. I can highly recommend Note Plan!

  • My favorite notes app of all time

NotePlan strikes the perfect balance of simplicity and power. It feels like how the native Notes app should have been. It adds note cross linking, more advanced formatting, Markdown support, note scheduling/calendaring, daily and weekly notes, hashtags, mentions and even automation with JavaScript.

I've found myself more likely writing down notes and linking them together to make a wiki of sorts. I also put all my tasks in NotePlan and can plan out my week using the Weekly Notes and/or adding a todo to a specific day in the future.

I've been using it for months now and I keep liking it more and more, it really is one of my favorite apps of all time. And best of all it's made by an indie dev, not some annoying VC backed company that try's to upsell you constantly and will burn through their cash in a few short years.

I pay for SetApp which includes NotePlan subscription, which is awesome.

    Great work on the app!

  • hard not to be pleased

I was so impressed with the initial version of this program that I kept using it and have discovered additional usage scenarios.
The developer keeps making it better. It becomes more and more flexible and practical. His ideas make it more user friendly.
The mobile versions are also excellent making this a winning app that I use every day.

  • Love it

I absolutely love this app . I love the interface and the style of organization . It’s very easy to use and helps keep organized and get things done . Some small changes I wish were made would be the ability to not only set tasks for a specific date but also set them for a specific time . Also when creating repeating tasks maybe an option to repeat forever rather than always have to chose a time frame( how many weeks or months ect ) . I can’t wait to see how this app continues to evolve !

  • Confession

I admit I have a problem. I'm obsessed with productivity apps. In my field of medicine, although I am a teacher, I have never stopped being a student. For me, staying up to date is essential and requires copious notetaking. I have trialed countless apps in this quest ($$). The one I always come back to is NotePlan. I just find it as minimalist or advanced as you want to make it. Themes are beautiful. It's all there and keeps getting better. The developer is super engaged and frankly just seems like a really good guy. Easy to support. My favorite all-in-one productivity app, and I've tried most of them.

    Developer Response

Thanks so much for your review and your kind words!  Best,  Eduard
  • The best app that keeps getting better

The app is really well designed and implemented from start to finish. While there are some features I think would make the app better, all of them are on the developers public roadmap.

They take a really thoughtful approach when building that ensures everything feels solid and polished when launched - and new things launch often!

The few times I've emailed the team they have responded quickly and helpfully - really one of the best app experiences I've had in a while.

It may feel expensive at first, but the subscription is on-par with other apps and because all your files are stored in markdown there is zero vendor lock in. I copy paste notes between Noteplan and Notion all the time (work uses Notion) and I find that Noteplan is my superpower for staying organized and effective in a sea of information.

    Thanks Noteplan team!

  • Excellent PM tool

This is a great tool that uses markdown to group tasks by hashtag and mention without needing to have the entire team tied to the tool. You can use it in a silo to organize when tasks are scheduled and see overdue tasks. It is very helpful for tracking software development defects and tasks without needing to use a ticketing system for the purpose of project management and having an organized agenda when meeting with team members.
