Amazing Customer Service
Mr. Gary Peters and his team are an amazing team. Our chapter of PTK recently did a percentage night with the Athens location and we were so very pleased with the communication and cooperation that Mr. Peters and his employees provided our organization and our school as a whole. Staff and students are excited to have a local restaurant who cares about them and wants to support Athens Technical college. so thank you Mr. Peters and you team for everything! We can’t wait to continue to build our partnership and expand the growing community.

The young man (Derrick) was so patient and kind!
He didn’t rush us and was very helpful! He also was very attentive!!!
We will be back! Our lunch was awesome! He even went in the back to make sure they knew not to put anything on my order. I am allergic to pepper and all seasonings except salt.

Shane’s Rib Shack In Raleigh, NC Is Great!!
I must give a big shout out to Johnnie, Hadie and their team!!! I drive way across town to eat at Shane’s Rib Shack at Poyner Place. The food is always great! The restaurant is always neat and clean. They have fabulous specials that I frequently take advantage of and I send my friends to this location also. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. I have been coming here for many years and should have written a glowing review a long time ago!! Be sure to stop by and try their ribs, plates, smoked wings and hamburgers! You’ll be glad you did!! We are long time customers at Shane’s and things were much better before the previous owner sold. Things have really changed in the last year.
Today’s visit sadly was way below the quality of food we are used to. The first ribs were way over cooked and the second ribs were only slightly better but tasted old to say nothing about the half bottle of sauce that was dumped all over the food. I could only eat about ten fries without sauce. The coleslaw was better before the change. The fries were cold and overcooked. The half chicken dinner wasn’t fresh and baked beans were very dry. We are probably not going back.

Hmmm!
First time ordering on line - didn’t go through. Glad I had that feeling and called to check. So I spoke to very nice young lady. She took my order over phone. Repeated what was ordered. I get there to pick up - all looked ok. I trusted them. Order totaled $93. I get home - discover blood glucose is 53! Anyway some of order was missing. I will call tomorrow to speak to them about this. It was enough to feed us all and was good but we didn’t get what was paid for.

Bad experience
The first time my daughter and I had been here, we ordered 2 half racks with 2 sides and drinks. Customer service was alright, there wasn’t but one other customer there, once we got our food the meat had a funny smell which we thought could be the sauce. We started eating and the ribs had not been cooked on a grill of any sort! These ribs had been boiled not smoked not grilled. The fat was very gelatinous and didn’t have any flavor as if they were smoked or grilled they would of had a distinctive taste! 1st time and last time we will not recommend this to anyone!
