Merging of Workplace app marks nosedive in quality

I had the misfortune of using the old Workplace app, which was miles worse than the main WeWork app.

Random log outs, terribly slow UX, fiddly and unintuitive UI controls and of course, random booking errors.

It looks like they’ve now merged the two into one, and instead of overhauling Workplace, they’ve made that the primary experience.

Honestly the worst app on my phone

YALL NEED TO FIX THE APP. It used to work perfectly fine, but 2-3 months ago an update just killed the whole experience.

Constantly hangs on the splash screen. Doesn’t get my location even when I press allow. Booking a room feels super buggy and lags often. Also dark mode is completely gone??

The past 3 days I haven’t even been able to log into the app, it just tells me wrong email/password when the exact same credentials works on desktop. But it’s inconvenient if I’m trying to book a desk on the subway. I do not want to pull my laptop out and get mugged just because the WeWork app didn’t work on my phone 🫨. Imagine having that on the police report 😩.

I know your current restructuring and future business model doesn’t depend on whether or not your app works, but y’all need to tighten up. I’m a broke little Asian boy and I pay too much money to have to use an app that works 14 out of 30 days of every month. My thumbs hurt from texting this with anger, so please FIX THE BUGGY APP. I’ll literally fix it myself for free if y’all just let me into the repo.

App ruined

The last update changed the app to be very slow. It’s clearly now a website placed inside an iPhone app. Simple things like editing your home location are slow, and it doesn’t even tell you it saved. The main list, where you search for a location, used to be good. It’s now slow and low rez.

I love wework. Please bring back the old app.

Thank you.

Come on, a web app?

I’ve been using the WeWork app for a while and the latest update is a letdown. It used to be super smooth and easy to use, but now it feels like they just slapped a web page into an app. It’s clunky, slower, and just doesn’t have that polished feel it used to. Miss the old app for sure.

Missing Simple UX

I don’t know how and why there’s not a button for users to not mark all notifications as read or clear/delete notifications.

Something so simple that’s in almost all apps but somehow it’s not in this one. You have to delete notifications one by one.

Hate this app, why no web access?

This app is literally just a web page in app form-I have no idea why I can’t book desks on my laptop instead.

Every time I open this “app” it has logged me out and there’s no way to stay logged in, also i have to reset my password every time!

Shame on you developers this is an example of terrible UX.

lot of room to improve

this application is not very good. It shows me a long list of desks that are unavailable and there is no way to filter. Also right now it’s stuck at a location and I can’t see any desks to book. Whenever I move the map it snaps back to that location?!

Terrible

Just bad overall

Lovely place to come & work for a day or two. Good variety of workspaces across 3 floors & clean facilities. Wi-Fi has good connection although no mobile data on bottom floor. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice variety of tea & coffee always available plus a barista in the morning.

Great for a work-from-Homer looking to switch up your work environment every now and then, but also has regulars and entire office rooms rented out. You can find space to work quietly and they have dedicated phone booths although these tend to be very busy. It also seems like a good place to work with colleagues as there are lots of bigger tables & sofas to work on.

Would definitely recommend.
