Bonjour Max.2016 Merci d’avoir choisi d’utiliser FoodShiner afin de réduire le gaspillage de la nourriture. FoodShiner offre déjà la possibilité d’ajouter des produits sans barre code, pour ceci dans l’écran d’ajout des produits il suffit de saisir dans le filtre de recherche le nom du produit en bas des résultats vous allez recevoir une section ‘Nouveau Produit’ qui s’affiche si ce que vous avez saisis n’existe pas dans votre base de données puis une section des suggestions qui ressemble à ce que vous avez saisis. A hidden gem!!
Yes it’s FREE! But I made a donation as it’s such a good implementation of this genre it’s worth it.
It handles multiple inventory locations and expiry dates.
It automatically sets items as open upon consumption. Why is this helpful?? Lets say you buy a big tub of yogurt like I do. It may expire in 2 months but as soon you open it you have 1 week. Foodshiner will prompt you for a new expiry date as soon as you “open” or consume some of a product.
It can set minimal stock amounts with decimal places… think about this for a second. Other Apps that do this only allow whole numbers. Why? With Foodshiner I can set my minimum stock on my loaf of bread to 0.5. When it’s more than half eaten I need to buy a new one! Not when I have 0 in stock or when I have 1 in stock! You shopping list will be 90% complete if you set these.
It allows prices (few bugs but hold on).
It allows bar codes.
It allows photos (for a more visual experience).
It helps you determine if you are wasting food.
It has shopping lists (auto generated if you set minimum amounts).
Believe me when I say you will love this App. Like all such Apps you need to invest the time to set it up, but once you have you will get all the benefits.
A few emails to the devs and this is certainly one to watch as there are plans for more features still to come!!

Exemple: pour savoir la date que j’ai congelé le produit....

Definitely the best pantry tracking app
I tried a few but liked this one the best. This app has the nicest UI, no frills or tacky images, which is lovely since I’m using it pretty much every day and I’m fussy about that sort of thing.
It’s easy to share storage lists with other members of your household, and has the best privacy-respecting options (no trackers, doesn’t store any data).
There have been a couple of updates already since I started using it so it’s nice to see new features keep coming. We haven’t wasted any food since starting to use it which feels really good.
And it’s free!

Hello Symphonicknot, thank you for your very kind review. We did try to stay as close as possible to the Apple UI guideline in our app to make it (at least form that point) as easy to use as possible. The second thing we had in mind was privacy according to such personal data of what food you buy, when you use it and of course we wanted to motivate our users to throw as less food as possible. Bonjour Gracelsis Merci pour d’avoir choisie d’utiliser FoodShiner afin de réduire le gaspillage de la nourriture et aussi pour nous aider à protéger notre planète. FoodShiner offre déjà la possibilité de partager une liste avec une ou plusieurs personnes, quand vous tapez sur une liste par example Frigo vous allez voir l’écran qui liste les produits dans cette liste en haut droite il y a une icône de deux petit bonhommes tapez sur cette icône afin de partager cette liste avec d’autres personnes. FoodShiner utilise la technologie iCloud d’Apple ce mécanisme de partage fonctionne de la même manière que celui de l’application d’Apple Notes. Concernant la fonctionnalité d’associer une image ou une icône à un produit ceci est déjà planifié pour une future version de FoodShiner.
