Visualization is the process of imagining going through a future situation as if it were happening today. It's a great way to prepare to face an upcoming situation that you’ve been avoiding or have been anxious or worried about. Scenario’s visualizations combine elements from several evidence-based techniques, including guided imagery, mental rehearsal, and imaginal exposures. The common elements in all of these techniques are the use of vivid details of a past or future scenario that brings it to life in the moment. HOW IT WORKS (1) Create a Visualization - Answer a short series of evidence-based prompts that encourage self-reflection and help you set effective goals. - Describe your situation in as much detail as possible to generate a visualization that is accurate and hyper-realistic. (2) Rehearse Your Situation - Read or listen to your visualization to simulate the emotions and physical sensations of going through your situation in real-time. - Use the Insights to read between the lines and learn how to be a better communicator. - Run multiple scenarios and outcomes by changing things like your approach, a moment of conflict, and more.
