AAMI app review

I’m happy with the app, but a paynow button would make it better for me to pay off my instalments sooner. The instalments are not always taken out on the same day, which leaves me wondering when they will be deducted.

Save time use the website to make a claim

My advice first write your details somewhere else so you can copy paste them.

I tried to make a claim after an accident and tried for 2 hours to enter it via the app. Every time I tried to check details or photos it would log out without saving any information I had already entered for the claim.

I gave up because someone told me I could use the website.

Logged out in the middle of a claim

Started a claim in the app and literally while typing got the message ‘We’ve logged you out for your own safety’ (or similar). Now have to start from the beginning again because it doesn’t save progress. No idea how fast it expects me to type so the same thing may happen again? Frustrating and not very well thought out.

A total joke

This app is just outsourcing claims work to the client for data entry on their website. It logged me out half way through making and claim and didn’t keep any progress. Now I need to write up the report for a second time and waste more of my time. This is the second claim I have had to make on the app and the handover of the service to a real human is appalling now. AAMI is no longer a premium brand in my opinion.

Wipes out claim information when a call comes through

I was trying to make a claim on the app and 3 times I had information wiped out and had to start again. Once when someone called me while I was filling it out, another time when someone texted me (to say they tried to call) and then again when I tried to look at a photo that had information relevant to the claim.
I gave up and used the website version.
Very frustrating.

Garbage app

I have been with them for a year now and never been able to login to either the app or the website. After waiting for up to 30 minutes, Customer care has no answer except “ah there are some technical issues”with both the app and the website. This is very irresponsible of them. Suppose I want to file a claim in case of a mishappening, will everybody have to wait for customer care helpline. I am going to be cancelling my insurance with them because of this experience.

AAMI New phone App

I am very impressed with this app. Firstly, I can see all my insurance policies at a glance and can make changes and even cancel policies.
Secondly I can see all these things anywhere in the world and don’t have to take paperwork with me. If I have an accident, I have immediate access to my details.
It’s also very easy to use once you have gone through all the areas.

Just no good for business users

Downloaded and installed ok. Tried to add policy but could not as it was in a business name- even though I am primary contact for the business. Had to call and finally got it added to the app. However the claim under that policy did not show up. Contacted app support via email who advised they would look into and get back to me. After a few days I called and the basic troubleshooting of log out and back in didn’t fix it and was told again they would get back to me. Nothing, so a week later I sent another email. Same response that they would look into it and get back to me. Another week and still no response from the AAMI app team. I expect my claim will be finalised and vehicle repaired before they have the app working and then I will just delete the app.

Buggy App

Update - AAMI App support team had assisted me with the login issue. All is good.

I’m sure if this app works as it is designed to do, it’ll be good however, I can’t even get passed the login stage without jumping hurdles.

The only way to login is to, click on, ‘forgot pin,’ then enter password.

This is the same issue I had with AAMI’s previous app (and yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail).

Also, when I eventually do login then click on, ‘manage,’ for the purposes of re-ordering my policies, the app crashes - happens every time.

The idea is good, but the app is buggy and in need of a good update. You’re better off utilising their services via a web browser.

What was the point?!

I got an email from Aami today telling me how Aami customers get more, and it told me to get the new Aami app, being an Aami Customer of several years now, I did. At first opening it let me in but then after I shut it to try and compare it with the old one, it will NOT let me back into it though! Every time I enter my newly setup pin to get in, it tells me ‘oh-oh something went wrong’-I tried this multiple times all with the same result. I can still get into the old Aami app(the Aami access one) so I don’t know what the point of downloading this new one that won’t let me in now was?? Also how many apps do I need to manage my Aami policies?! I now have the ‘new’ Aami app, Aami access and the Suncorp one, why so many??
