  • I want to love it, but

I really want to love it, but so far I am just limping along with it hoping more features will be added. There are many features that “other” calendar has that are incredibly useful. Being able to search the calendar events/entries, being able to view more than one month (my other app allows zooming in or out to any desired level-view the full year, one, two, or three months, etc.). It would be great to have a place to share suggestions in hopes that they will be considered for implementation in future versions. I will happily update my review if my experience changes.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We'd just like to let you know that we've now introduced month view in the Proton calendar app, as you requested. You can now see more of your events at a glance and easily switch between views from the side menu. We remain committed to improving our apps based on our community's feedback, and we haven't forgotten about the other features you've mentioned in your review. Keep an eye on our social media channels for updates!
  • Subscribed Calendars

UPDATE: signing out and then back in worked perfectly! Thanks for the quick response. This will now be exceedingly useful to me. :-)

ORIGINAL REVIEW: My subscribed calendars are not displaying despite recent update “fixing” this problem. Obviously, this doesn’t work for me.
  • Good start, need to be able to invite others to appt

I love Proton and I’m so happy Proton finally has a calendar for iOS, unfortunately it doesn’t have the ability to invite someone to the event so it’s not useful to me yet. Any time I make a personal appointment I need to invite my work calendar or sometimes a friend. Please prioritize adding this feature.

  • Good calendar, but difficult to edit events

This calendar seems to work so far, and I appreciate the clean, simple interface.

However, this app does lack a single searchable view of all events scheduled, in case the user is looking for information (or desires to edit) a certain scheduled event. The only way to edit events seems to be through calendar view, which assumes the user has the dates of scheduled events memorized— to find an event, one must know the date. If this were the case, there would be no point in saving an event to a calendar at all.

I’m sure this functionality has not been overlooked and will be implemented in the future. I’m grateful for all the effort the developers have invested in this app.

  • Please add search function

Love it, I have the entire Proton Suite and know that these apps are still in their infancy and getting better every day, but please prioritize adding a search function to the calendar.
  • Not ready to replace

I’m looking forward to the time I can make this calendar my primary one, but it’s not there yet. Options in settings is very limited right now and I understand it because they just released it recently. Sometime soon I’m sure it will become my primary calendar!
  • Crazy question:

    Proton techs,

    Crazy question:

After using the Proton Calendar for a bit, I can t quite figure what I m doing wrong. I take webinar courses online and use the calendar to remind me to get online to learn. But when I get done with multi day webinars and I try to end the daily reminders, I find myself deleting the whole webinar.

I have one coming up starting on the (8 February and running through the 17th of February,) yet when I go to cancel the daily reminders, I find that the entire event is deleted from the calendar. I was hoping to use your calendar to hold onto the record of what I took and when.

So, I guess what I m asking is, how didn t I set end dates and not lose the records of the events? Thank you for your help.

    Live Life,

    John Shrek Walters

  • Keep it Going Proton!

Grateful for this new option for a calendar that protects my information/life. In a timely response to my suggestions, Proton expressed that this app is in it’s infancy and they are continuing to provide many options in updates to come. I expect it to be a relevant/highly functional asset for my life. Really appreciated. So thank you Proton!

  • Time zone issue

I changed the default time zone in a calendar appointment to be my time zone, updated the other appointment details and saved the appointment. The agenda view still shows the default time zone time, but my time zone time is shown correctly when I reopen the appointment. The reminder does go off during my time zone (which is good).
I use Proton VPN & Proton Mail, and I was super excited when I saw you have a calendar app! I would love to start using Proton Calendar, but it is too confusing with this time zone issue - could you please fix it? Also - is there a way to change the default time zone so the I don’t need to reset it for every new appointment?
Thank you so much - Proton is the best!

Thank you for taking the time to review our app! We will forward your feedback to the product team to help them work on future improvements. The app's timezone currently follows the setting you have chosen in the web client: https://calendar.proton.me. You can change the timezone settings in the web client in Settings → General.
  • Enjoying so far

Please add functionality to app face to show the date without having to open the app. Or at least get rid of the 31 shown. Little confusing towards the end of the month.
