  • Why?

Why build a top of the line motorcycle that actually delivers in every way EXCEPT this app and the infotainment system. I bought a new Ducati and had to pay for the premium and I just saw in the reviews that they included it. I really don’t care about paying the $20 if it was worth anything but it’s not. I guess the value of everyone’s information is just too much for the manufacturers to pass up or hand over to Apple or Google, at least with them I have a good user experience. As good as the bike is I would give it back and move to something with real CarPlay. Much of what I do on this bike is travel, Waze cannot be replaced for spirited travel. The pocket that Ducati put on the bike for a phone with charging cable isn’t big enough to fit the phone in with the cable plugged in either without mangling the cable so I’m riding with my unlocked, unplugged phone in my pocket until I can mount it on the handlebars and charge from the socket. I really expected more from Ducati.

  • Eye candy only. Worse than useless.

As much as it looks nice when initially installed and started, the disappointment will soon follow. Sygic navigation is incredibly bad when avoiding traffic. GPX navigation is none existent (and no, the web site workaround does not work).

The connect app loves to disconnect, lags, and limits app availability on the bike.

    Bring CarPlay please.

    Developer Response

Dear customer, thank you for your report. Ducati together with its partners are working on an enhancement of the App expected in the coming months. In the meantime to help us to better identify it would be very helpful if you could provide us with some additional details at the email address ducati.connect@ducati.com. We remain at your disposal, thank you, Ducati team.
  • What is this application for?

There is only one Sygic navigation option in the app. I think there should be a motorcycle navigation system on the motorcycle. If there was an option to use, for example, Calimoto or Rever, but Sygic is not navigation for a motorcycle. If the application could at least record data about the ride, for example the angle of inclination of the motorcycle, G acceleration, TCS, ABS, when the motorcycle will be serviced, etc. I really don't know what this application is for. I recommend getting some information from, for example, BMW.

  • Unacceptable from a premium manufacturer

I installed this and all needed apps to make it work, it doesn’t work for the US. Similar results posted on many Ducati forums, this app only works in a few European countries. I installed this on my 2022 pikes peak multistrada V4 and I have now erased everything and installed an expensive garmin gps in combination with my iphone to manage my music and gps duties. In 2022, for a +30k motorcycle from a premium manufacturer, only a proven app like Apple CarPlay and android auto should have been installed like all other premium manufacturers are installing in their vehicles.

Dear user, thank you for your report. At the moment Ducati Connect does not provide support for other Apps, but it does provide Sygic navigator integration with premium license. We remain at your disposal, thank you, Ducati team.
  • Pretending to Have a Smartphone Interface

Ducati Connect has yet to operate on my relatively new 2022 Multistrada V2S. North America Ducati does not respond to requests to support its clearly unloved connection app. And the dealer lacks the requisite skills to support the purchaser.

Save your money and avoid purchasing the Ducati Multimedia System and the frustration of downloading this software or trying to connect it to the bike. Terrible software and service.

  • More problematic than useful

Like many if not all other reviewers App Store, the app (and Ducati’s general multimedia strategy) is far more problematic than it is useful. It’s decision to go with a bit player third-party non-integrated navigation provider, its complexity, inconsistent reliance on taking over your entire phone, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth while in use, etc., make this app extremely cumbersome and so unreliable that it is absolutely more of a hindrance than useful.

  • Monster

I guess my new 2022 monster plus doesn’t support this? 😒

  • Wifi connection needed for maps

I seem to need to be hooked up to wifi to download ducati connect . To use map app. I can pair Bluetooth with my iPhone , no problem. But if I turn off the bike and dont have wifi How do I get maps back on the display ?
  • Mediocre app with poor intigration

In general the updates have made it more useable and whilst connection issues seem fixed most of the time it still locks up while in nav and always at the worst possible moment. The nav has zero ability to replan the route with traffic or diversions and also tries to return you in a loop to the original route rather than find a new one. The mirroring does not produce anywhere near as clear a map as the Sygic stand alone app either. I also have problems with the phone function as it loses volume and won’t allow the boom mic to function, so utterly pointless for calls. For info it’s an iPhone 13 with a Cardo freecom x4 all fully updated. Shame you didn’t just add apple car play as many others have now done though the offline mapping isn’t available

  • Worst App Ever

Would give this app zero stars if possible.

Amazing Multistrada bike with a communication system that literally does not work. Have been to the dealer three times already to troubleshoot and now just giving up. Not worth the aggravation.

It’s almost like they want you to experience the cycle ride rather than be immersed in playing with electronics. If that was the true goal, Ducati has succeeded! (Me finding the upside…)

No doubt they will post the standard response as noted on all the other horrible ratings. Suggest the app team save their time and start over. I heard Google makes a nice map?
