Very disappointing
I’m extremely happy with my new V4s just as I’ve always been with any Ducati I’ve owned. When I ride I like to focus on the road and not be distracted with crap like phones, apps, and GPS devices. The Sygic app has frozen up on me 3 of the 4 times I’ve used it. Having to have my phone unlocked with two apps running seems pretty pointless to me. The display on the Multistrada V4s is absolutely beautiful but these apps basically make it useless. I know this is new software and hopefully it’ll get better in time but for now I’ll stick with my iPhone, Waze, and Garmin Zumo. None of those are perfect either but at least when I use them I don’t become so enraged that I contemplate riding my bike into a tree. This is too expensive of a bike to have to deal with things like this especially when cars that cost less than this bike have CarPlay. I don’t understand how Ducati could incorporate radar into this bike and not CarPlay. I was also disappointed to learn that I was sold a bike that had an engine replacement do to recall. It would have been nice to have been informed before I purchased. I would have waited.Show lessStroy444

The license is free for Ducati customers who own the MTS V4 S and V4 S Sport and is activated automatically when the phone is connected to the bike via Ducati Connect. Shame on you taking money for this useless App/devise.
It’s not fit for purpose, I bought this bike for the convenience of the sat nav. How many V4s are sat at the side of the road getting frustrated with this absolute garbage setup. Disgusting Ducati(8)£4ff

Very poor
Takes ages to connect everything every time you stop, even for fuel.
No option for Spotify or any music but apple.
I see incoming calls, press to answer, but no sound. Likewise with outgoing.
Sat nav freezes.
Why does phone have to be constantly unlocked. Waze for example can manage this without me having to change the phones global setting to chew through the battery.
Sat nav sound and music keeps dropping to almost zero when they interact.
1 update in 6 months? How much ‘working on this’ are you doing?
Why can’t we use more apps on it, like Calimoto or Senna. They are compatible with Bosh my spin.

The whole world understands Google maps and CarPlay. Ducati chose to go exclusively with Bosch, requiring a subscription for simple things like speed limits, in an extremely clunky set up over wifi that fails frequently unless you leave your ohone wide open, unlocked always. This is a massive hack, not to mention security risk, a super clunky solution and well beneath what anyone buying even a cheap car now a days would expect ... let alone on the top of the line touring bike from Ducati.
Total #Fail Ducati. Disappointed.
The only reason i gave it 2 stars not 1, is because if you fight with it enough, do all the stupid and insecure things it says to do, and do not stray off the path, it can work. But, come on! It definately takes time to setup properly and get it to work with youre specific phone and headset(s). But once its working, its pretty convienant. I find I can’t get music songs to roll from one song to the next using the ducati connect menu. However, I can get it all to work if I first start the music from the main music function in settings. After that i can go into ducati connect menu suite without issue.Show lessDavid474747
Unreliable and frustrating
Ducati, pay whatever it costs and support apply car play as your attempt to write a solution that doesn’t need it is an utter disaster. This app is incredibly unreliable, requires you to break security of the phone in numerous ways and cannot be relied upon.
1. Have to keep the phone unlocked.
2. Regularly fails to launch navigation app.
3. Cannot access any music unless it’s in Apple Music and was the last thing to play.
4. Cannot control volume.
5. Chews through battery life.
6. Requires access to phone location at all the time and not just while it’s in use.
7. Fails to return from the navigation app or other apps so the bike is left stranded until you pull over and manually set it on the phone.
8. Doesn’t support other navigation maps.
9. Has to launch the wifi connection as well as Bluetooth so every time you want to set of you have to wait 2 minutes for the prompts before you can put your phone away. And when you do get to do that make sure you don’t hit any buttons or it will abort.
Utter rubbish, we pay a lot of money for the bikes so if you have to charge for a premium version that uses Apple car play then at least give us the choice to do so and a chance to avoid this unbelievably crappy app.Show lessMadcolski

Do not by a Ducati thinking this app works. It does not. Issues:
1) Phone must be on and the app open 100% of the time during your ride.
2) There is currently only 1 app available (April 2021) and that’s the Sygic map app.
3) The Sygic map app crashes on 20% of my rides. It most likely is the problems in this connection.
4) The Sygic map app does not work nearly as well as Google Maps, Google Waze, Apple Maps.
I think Bosch should stick to hardware solutions for bikes and leave the software to Apple and Google.Show lessmattrg_2000

Please change this to same as other NAV apps I use so it will run in background. My iphone is locked by security policy so I cannot change it to NEVER.hduhebhyteq

We inform you that this setting is not mandatory for using the Ducati Connect, but on FAQ it's recommended to set the auto lock on "NEVER" to avoid interruptions of the mirroring during the outgoing call. Can the app be upgraded so that users don’t have to leave their phone unlocked, with the screen on when using Sygic satnav?
Can it be more like Apple CarPlay when satnav etc works fine even if the iPhone locks its screen after a few minutes?AndyR46
