Page cropping function is largely non-functional
I upgraded to the paid version of this app to use the page-cropping function, so I could read papers while cropping out footnotes etc. I find though that this function only works about 60% of the time. Even when I manually crop out footnotes, the reader often still reads them. Very frustrating! Makes it nearly useless. App developers: Please fix!Show lessAaron CW

Fantastic app
it does have ads and the voices aren't the most natural sounding but the ad's are short and the voices get the job done, considering you can use it unlimited for free (just have to sit through a very short ad) i love it!Trillianlame

If you purchase the basic subscription, which costs less than premium, you’ll never be interrupted.so much better than the others
very reliable. and KEEPS YOUR PLACE if you have to stop mid-way through a document. most other apps don't. this has been a huge time saver. i listen to all pdfs during my commuteRatttters113123123123👊👊
Went from amazing to disappointed in a single day after months of use
As someone who struggles with ADHD this app has helped me so much. Being able to listen to documents and books instead of trying to read them and getting distracted halfway through has been a blessing. Until recently when I went to use it and my premium voices were not allowed to be used since I’ve listened to more than one day of using it! This is so frustrating!!! I finally found something that doesn’t sound like a robot and I only get one or two days a month now of normal voices for the premium cost?Show lessSupermansQueen

Premium subscribers get 1 million HD characters per month. That’s equates to about 24 hours of listening time with Neural premium voices and about 100 hours of listening time with standard quality premium voices. This is pretty generous compared to our competitors. Most users don’t hit the monthly limit. Additionally we’ve recently added “character boosts” which gives you the option to purchase more characters so people are not left without options. Also it should be noted that the regular non-premium voices that come with your device are unlimited so you can always use those without restrictions.Bad first impression
It can’t bode well for you and your ilk when a teacher is looking to find recommendations for students for half decent text to speech readers, subscribes to a premium service, and gets an error message before anything even happens.
