Not Worth the money or energy
I have had so many issues with this toothbrush you can declare me unsatisfied. I’ve used mine for most of this year- I tried to get it in February but the first one sent didn’t work and they had to send another.. it would be the only one not used before tossing.
It always turns off mid brush. I make sure it’s charged and I make sure it’s clean. It doesn’t record when I brush my teeth sometimes- leading streaks to break. Now it’s not syncing at all and telling me it cant be paired. Do not send me another one. It’s a terrible solution to my constant problems. I was sent a new brush at least three times; didn’t fix my issues.
The brush head itself is too large and I don’t feel like it gets the back of teeth as well as it could. The rubbers on the sides literally squeaking against teeth. The vibration seems more like a timer than a helpful tool.
I do like your floss and cavity tooth paste but not enough to warrant continued purchase of the toothbrush once again isn’t working.
I’m never using it again. Looks like 2025 is opening with a new brush. I will say their customer support team is sweet to try- they just don’t have the necessary tools to really support users. Not your fault.

EDIT: After reading the reply from the developer I tried troubleshooting with the app again. When I redownloaded it I was able to manually track my brushing unlike before.

Update 08/2024 App sucks
I’m loving my quip toothbrush and this companion app. I was able to connect my toothbrush within seconds. There are times that it takes my brush a bit to connect to the app after brushing, but it’s never longer than 5 minutes. It can be a nuisance but it doesn’t outweigh the pros for me in that this has definitely improved my oral health routine.
New app not syncing to Apple Health?
good idea, glitchy tho
Again, I'm a religious dental caretaker. I brush twice or even three times a day (depends on my meals), floss at morning and at night, oil pull, brush my tongue, alladat and more. I figured this would be a great way of rewarding myself for these habits. But, for whatever reason, the app only recognizes my saves every other morning. I know I've been recording everything so idk what the issue is. I'll just check later on and my morning brush tracking is gone.
I really really want this app to work so I'll keep using it but maybe the developers should look into this a bit more.

Needs more realistic achievements for those with mental health struggles
I LOVE the achievements feature. However, I find it difficult to hit some of them because of how much relearning of a habit I have to do, due to my mental health. As of right now, 7 days a week 2x a day is just not realistic. I would LOVE a more realistic goal/achievement, such as “Perfect Morning-Brush Week” or “Perfect Night-Brush Week”, or even something small like a “Brushing Streak” for keeping track of all the days. I feel like that would really motivate me to not break my streak!!! An addition like this in the app would honestly do so much for me.
I would also LOVE to see more articles about the connection between oral hygiene and mental health. I briefly recall seeing one but it would be nice to have this normalized, de-stigmatized, and know that I’m not alone in this difficult journey of creating better hygiene habits.

Get the basic brush, but skip the app
The auto-refill idea is brilliant, but I’m not in the USA so the refills don’t arrive in any predictable way & I sometimes get hit with import duties on “free” shipping of a $7 item.
