  • Gimmick - UPDATED!!

    Don’t get your hopes up. It’s captured brushing data once in three months. Synced several times at each brushing. Still showing the last brush as two weeks ago. Nice brush though. ————- UPDATE ————- A customer service rep contacted me and ended up sending me a replacement Bluetooth enabled motor. Works like a charm now. Doesn’t miss registering a brush now. 5 STARS!!
  • Don’t waste your time or money

    This app is garbage, and the company seems to be as well. I was never able to sign into the app with the account I used to purchase the toothbrush, so I made another account to keep track of my brushing. Worked for about a month, then it stopped letting me sign in, no matter how many times I changed my password. Whenever I e-mail them to get it resolved, they have the same two reposes, being: ‘change you password’ and ‘wait for an app update’. Garbage company and garbage app. Don’t waste your time or money. Subscription canceled.
  • Good, not great

    As someone who struggles with their mental health which sometimes means struggling with self-care tasks I love this app. There is a joy to syncing your brushing and earning points, etc.
    The issue with the app is that if you forget to track something like flossing before going to bed, then you’re out of luck. It’s easy to forget if your exhausted and doing your evening hygiene immediately before bed; or if you forget to bring your phone to the bathroom with you. You cannot add it for the day before in the morning. This seems like it would be an easy fix since the flossing and mouthwash aren’t “smart” devices and don’t sync on their own anyway.

  • Coverage data not accurate

    I’ve been using the toothbrush for 6 days and the brushing coverage data has been inaccurate each time. Even if you follow the 30 second sequence time for all four quarters starting with the bottom and finishing on top, the time is usually off by 15 to 20 seconds. It seems to always think the top gets more brush time. I could understand maybe a 5 second difference, but the data is not accurate.
  • Don’t even bother

    This is the first time I’ve tried quip and so say its been disappointing is an understatement. I’ve tried countless times and the toothbrush will not pair. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app SEVERAL times, replacing the toothbrush battery, turning my Bluetooth off and on, turning the phone off and on, closing and re opening the app so many times and it’s the same message. I will be returning this brush and just splurging on the oral-b iO6. And suggest anyone who picks up this hot garbage to do the same. And one feature may seem small when I buy a product but I expect that product to work to the full caliber it’s advertised as. If I wanted a basic electric toothbrush I would’ve gotten one.
  • Don’t bother trying to pair your smart brush

    i have the quip smart brush with bluetooth capabilities. i have tried pairing my device for the past week. i have changed the batteries, deleted and reinstalled the app, turned my phone on and off, checked all my bluetooth and even location settings and the app continuously gives me the “couldn’t pair just yet” notification while setting up. i have no clue if it’s the toothbrush itself or the app but everything is one star to me. will not be buying anymore quip products after this experience.
  • Not a good app

    At first I bought the brush with the regular motor and everything was fine, but then they offered me the smart motor saying that I had to download the application and pair it so I also got points and I could exchange them for products, at first everything was fine, but now it's a headache, I have to refresh the application several times so that I can find the toothbrush, sometimes it can’t find it, I uninstalled the application several times I unpaired the brush so many times and nothing, it doesn't work, the last day it found the toothbrush was on September 06, since then I've been trying and I can't find any help. It is very frustrating that they sell you all their products and when help is needed, they don't give it to you.

  • I like it with one annoying flaw

    To start, I want to say I love the quip brush and the app so far. It’s a great brush and it’s been a great experience using the app. That is, with one exception. When logging brushes on an electric non-smart brush, you are allowed to change the amount of time you brush but not the actual time you brush at. This is incredibly annoying and frustrating because I may get distracted and not log my brush the second I start or finish and may instead need to add it in later and adjust the time accordingly. However, the app locks it at whatever time you log your brush at and there’s no way to change it. I don’t understand how and why that’s not an available feature. It seems like something people would very much need and it highly questionable why an app for a brush this popular wouldn’t include this very basic feature.

  • The App Deleted My Paired Brush

    I was trying to sync my toothbrush to the app again after a while of not using the app. My account said that my toothbrush was connected to a different account (which it never was), therefore it was not able to connect back or sync my brushes. When I logged in on the website it was showing that my toothbrush was still connected. But on the app, it showed differently, and I could not get my toothbrush to reconnect to the account. The customer service person was not helpful at all and only kept saying to “unpair” my toothbrush from the app. My toothbrush was not even connected in the app and there was also no option on the website to unpair to try to reconnect. Still having the issue. The app seems very faulty with connecting. The sync has been great through, when it was connected before all of this happened.

  • Poor syncing

    I brushed my teeth for a full two minutes (or until the vibration timer stopped), and then I started another cycle for 40 more seconds to finish. When I synced my toothbrush with the app, it only synced 38 seconds. So I brushed again for the full 2 minutes and refreshed/synced and it wouldn’t even acknowledge that another full [uninterrupted] brushing was completed; forcing me to manually add the time in the Apple Health app. Don’t waste your money, they’ve been around for many years now - this should be not only a flawless experience but a truly interactive experience with in-depth knowledge on your brushing.
