Garbage App. Stick with legacy version
For the life of me I cannot get this app to connect. The legacy app works with no problem and I can connect directly or through wifi. For this piece of trash I attempt to add the grill and it tells me a firmware update is needed so I go through that process. After the update I still see that a firmware update is needed so I do that again but still stuck in the same loop. I’ve reset the wifi on the grill but nothing works.
In the end I ended up just deleting this app and stuck with the legacy one that thankfully works. Too bad GMG. It shouldn’t be this hard to connect something to wifi and I’m pretty sure your competitors have figured it out better than you have. Very disappointed and will just wait until this grill dies and I’ll go with someone who’s better at it.

Now broken
Used to work. Since this update I’ve lost wifi connection. Avoid.
Getting there!
Thee are a lot of awesome features with this app a how you want to drill down into the specifics of what you are cooking.
I think it is still somewhat confusing as to how to hook everything up to WiFi so you don’t have to be within range. Good app though and I think the constant development with get it there!

It Has Gotten A lot Better
I’ve had my grill a little over a year. The first version of the app did not work very well with my Peak grill and would not connect when I turned it on. This version of the app works great in that aspect. GMG is always updating the app to make the grill operate at its best. I am finally able to set it and forget it which is why I went to a pellet grill to begin with. I look forward to continue using our grill and updating the app whenever it needs it.

It works.
At the end of the day, we can wish for all these options and whatnot, but the app does what it's meant to. It's worked from day 1 when I migrated from the legacy app, and as much as I wish it had more automations based on whatever I'm smoking, I just need it to give me states and control which it does. So 5 stars.

Love it!
The grill holds temp perfectly. In the dead of summer or the middle of a miserable Wisconsin winter. This thing is exact without blankets or additional insulation. Just set it and forget it. Things I used to cook in the oven I now smoke. The app makes it a breeze. Highly recommend!

Works Great!
Just updated my old db prime , was running a very old firmware because I could connect to my network. I downloaded this app and it connected right away, and after a few adjustments . It’s running right on temp with only a rise of about 5 degrees . No more 50 degree temperatures swing l. 👍
Soot Issues
Ever since updating to the new Prime App on my GMG Peak, Fan seems to run slower giving the flame a “dirty” burn causing spot issues. Unfortunately this is an American company and seems to not support its Canadian Customers as well, went back to Legacy App and “Prototype” firmware which has fan run at higher speed which seems to have sorted out the issues. Cannot do server mode though which was a huge bonus with new prime app. GMG if your reading please sort out this issues and help out us Canadians.

Doesn’t work on IPhone
This App does not currently work on IPhone. Took me hours of troubleshooting and looking online to see that it may be the case. Contacted Support and they confirmed. Why is there not a message in the App Store showing that this isn’t working and when can we expect an update? I was told to wait for an update but it’s been over a month, approaching two months soon.
