Incompatible with mobile devices

I hate how the app is incompatible with mobile devices like iPad, the app doesn’t work horizontally which is super annoying. When I’m in the show selection menu, it forces my iPad to go vertically. Even with rotation lock it turns back to vertical. Netflix shows can’t even be watched on the app, it says you have to use a computer.

I’d recommend Lingopie

Learning another language isn’t easy. Lingopie is a good tool to have in an arsenal of other tools. It won’t turn you into a Spanish language professor however it will help you in your journey. I’m glad I got it

Annoyed at subscription

I was charged the full amount with no warning snd I am so upset because it’s not cheap. I cancelled my subscription and I have asked for refund but now I can’t even log in to make a complaint and request a refund. I’m so sick of these apps. Do much time wasted managing them snd complaining snd trying to get money back.

I like Lingopie but the app is not Split View compatible.

Dear Developer,
Please develop the app with Split View.

Dynamite Learning App

This app is so great! I waited to get it because I didn’t have the money at the time for the yearly subscription but once I got it, it is so cool !!!! You can pause, click the words you don’t know and save them and they createflash cards for you. You can slow down the audio and more. There is content for all ages pretty much. The only thing I wish they had more was content that is more mainstream. However, I know that could probably be expensive. Although, I’ve only been using the app a couple of days; so, I might come across more mainstream content. But overall, great app! Highly recommended!

Frustrating

I’m finding this app quite annoying.

I’m English trying to learn Spanish (from Spain)

When I was doing the free trial I was looking at a programme called ‘Si fueras tú”
I’ve paid for the year now, but the only way to get this programme, is to say that I’m learning French, then it comes up in the selection of programmes.
If I search all Spanish programmes it’s not there.

So at least I’ve found it, but then, when you click on the subtitles to get more information on the words, and ask it to pronounce them it reads the Spanish words in a French accent with French pronunciation of the word, which is totally wrong.

If I put that I’m learning Spanish into my profile then search for this programme it doesn’t exist.

The selection of Spanish programmes, in European Spanish dialect, seems to consist of, travel guides, kids cartoons, and programmes about Marijuana!

🤷‍♀️ not impressed.

Landscape layout needed

This is an obvious app to use on an iPad, not so much on a phone, not sure why there isn’t a landscape mode for it already, this has been out for years. But still think this has huge potential especially for helping me with fast languages like Portuguese. Being able to loop dialogue/easily repeat stuff on Netflix shows is great.

IPad app needs updating

Every time I launch this app on an iPad Pro the app reverts to portrait mode (over ruling the OS software). Makes it useless to use. Haven’t got past the registration stage as I can’t type in the details with my head turned to 90 degrees. Makes me come to the conclusion that the app is badly supported and that if I purchase a subscription I will be entering a world of pain?

Meraviglioso

I stumbled upon Linguapie by accident. After learning Italian via online Skype lessons for a couple of years, and watching subtitled movies on Netflix, it is a real game changer for me. I can watch Italian tv shows at slow speed, fully subtitled in Italian and English, stopping and starting the programme whenever I like, reading and re-reading the subtitles while listening to the delivery, and winding back whenever needs be. The system notes any word or phrase I highlight for me to revise whenever and as often as I like. It’s the best subscription I could wish for and has made me enthusiastic about achieving my learning goals a lot sooner than otherwise. I’m 68 so learning a new language ought to be much harder for me than for the average student but Linguapie is evening the odds. Learning is now never a chore but something I look forward to with enthusiasm. And, following the series with the young couple visiting interesting places throughout Italy, I am also being informed about places of potential interest I may wish to visit. The annual subscription us also a bargain - the price of four lessons with my Skype tutor. I am impressed.

I lost my Japanese subtitles

I guess this recent update is glitching out my app, great service but I’m having issues with mine.
