Time change

I thought this program was excellent until the time change, now it ihas actually lost a day. It thinks I have smoked 2 cigarettes today (Tuesday at 12:08 AM) but I have just smoked one, and didn’t track any of Monday’s…there was a time change Sunday wonder if this is why.

Finally an app that actually helps you quit

I’ve been searching for an app to help me track my smoking habit to help me cut back. All the other apps out there assume you have already quit or plan to quit cold turkey. This is the only app I’ve found so far that actually allows you to be honest with yourself and track your goals. The only thing I would like to note is that, the app assumes that when I go for a smoke break, I only have one smoke. But sometimes I have 2-3. Having a built in feature to account for this instead of just saying “smoke ahead of time” each smoke break would be greatly appreciated.

Gentle app

I’ve been smoking for most of my life and have tried every method in the book to quit. This is the only method that has successfully gotten me to cut back and I am confident that I will be able to quit using this method because it is so gradual - I have time to develop healthy coping mechanisms as I wean off. I am on phase 5 and already notice a huge difference in my quality of life.

My one criticism is the same as others: I wish it let you set your sleep schedule! I frequently go to bed after midnight so I would love to be able to set the count to restart for the day when my alarm goes off in the morning. I also wish it would let you set the number of hours you usually sleep. I sleep about 6 hours per night so I have to remember to wait for a certain amount of time after the notification goes off, and calculate how much time that is every phase, so I don’t go over. I paid a lot for this app so I am slightly disappointed that these features aren’t available, thus the 4-star rating.

Great start to this app, needs tweaking

This app is a great idea but I think it needs some tweaking before I would pay for it. You should be able to edit things instead of having to delete the entire app and reinstall, starting from scratch. It would be super helpful to be able to adjust the time of your start of day and end of day. I smoke after midnight so waking up and seeing that I’ve already started into my allotted cigarettes per day is a bummer. I do like the timer aspect, that has helped me so far. I’ve looked into my subscriptions and I do not see the option to remove the app before the free trial is over. I sure hope you don’t charge me without offering the option to back out. I feel like this is a great app but just not quite suitable for my needs at this time, unfortunately. Best of luck!

Response from developer

Hi, thanks for your comments. You can cancel your subscription anytime in the AppStore, tap on you pic (upper right) and then subscriptions. I would recommend doing that before your trial it’s over if you don’t want to continue. About the cigarettes after midnight I would not worry so much about it because the cigarettes after midnight of the next day will count for the next day and so on so you count will be alright is just a way to measure your intake in lapses of 24 hours straight. But thanks on your feedback.

lost progress unless keep paying

It sucks that my progress is gone now unless I keep paying. Super unfortunate theres no free version

Hi, thanks for your comments! The monthly price is less than the cost of a package of cigarettes a week (average price in the world). And was planned for you to save more money than what the app costs over time, In addition to the health benefits. Let down

Struggling to keep up with the new age where money is the only thing that matters.
This app is a clock. Takes the number of cigarettes you smoke a day. Divides that by 24 or 16 and gives you stopwatch. Has no alarm to let you know when it’s time to smoke.
Then sadly after an effort to save a life. It demands a $.
I just come from a different age where all of this struggle was helped. And people were just good to be around.
Your generation is lost.

No notifications?

I have notifications turned on for the app, but it doesn’t send me anything.

So far so good

I am trying to quit smoking and downloaded about 10 apps the other day. Most want more money than I can afford and the smallest trial period or features possible. It is a simple app without a ton of bells and whistles (no meditations, no games, no motivational quotes), but I can get those from other free apps.

I am only on level 1 with this app, so no idea how much it will cost later. However, this one (so far) is the easiest to use, and has a taper/reduction option (so few do!).

Only taking off one star because there is no ‘sleep’ or ‘pause’ button. I don’t want to count skipped cigarettes because I was sleeping (can’t really give myself a pat on the back for those). Also because I wake up every morning to a reminder to log my cigarettes (I am doing great with logging them in).

Time will tell if this works, but so far it’s the best app I have found (for those that need a little extra help).
