  • The next best thing to being there

The challenges are fun (I’ve completed 5 and have just started another). I especially like seeing the google street view of where I am on the journey, and reading the vacation postcards I send to myself! The enhanced street view feature on the app has improved greatly since I did my first challenge a year+ ago. (One caveat: as Germany hasn’t allowed Google to do street views, it’s not available on the Romantic Road journey, which was disappointing. However, there are a ton of extra postcards on that journey to make up for it.) Regarding postcards, I’d appreciate the option of enlarging the accompanying text that tells about the location, since it’s rather annoyingly small on my phone. Re: medals - When I did my first journey, I didn’t think getting a medal for a virtual event was a big deal, but now I look forward to them. They are beautiful and very well made and each one is unique! I really feel like I’ve been around the world! Keep up the good work!!
  • Great app, so much fun!

I love the Conqueror challenges and the app is the easiest way to track my progress. While some opt to connect their devices, I manually add my distances after hiking or exercising so that my challenges reflect my workouts, rather than the steps that I routinely take throughout the day. The app is easy to navigate and so enjoyable to use. I love looking at the images that appear along my routes and reading the post cards that contain interesting information about each trek. Entering my mileage is simple and when I complete a challenge, the app prompts me to confirm my information right away to ensure that I quickly receive my medal. I’ve never experienced any issues with the app but I had a question about tracking when I first started so I emailed the company and received an answer within hours. Great app, excellent service, so much fun.
  • Medals are great but..

About the app: I am experiencing some sync issues with UnderArmor’s Map my walk app. It used to sync data with in couple of hours of my walk/run. Since past few days it’s takes overnight or a day to sync data. This defeats the overall purpose of the app and kills the fun. If there is going to be such delays than one can manually enter all info too. I really want this app to start syncing data on more real-time basis. I hope the developers take this into account and improve basic functionality of data syncing with apps that they claim work with this. Real fun of conquering missions, I feel is the journey, automated postcards and milestones, it is no fun if I have to manually enter data every day to see myself progress. Better data sync mechanism can fix this issue.
About the medals: Medals are great, it keeps the motivation going. But really you are here for challenges and medals.
  • Fantastic motivation to get moving

I love the Conqueror challenges. The app is really cool, the medals are beautiful, but what I love the most is the motivation to move and the postcards and tree planting. I am 51 and never ran as an exercise regimen before. I have run/walked over 1000 miles in the past 6 months! And lost that 10lbs I needed to lose.

My suggestions for improvement are better updates to Apple Watch. I hate the current update twice daily mess and the double counting or missing data. I have chosen to manually enter based on my Health App. It’s accurate and easier than letting the app pull the data. My understanding is it works very well with the under armour app and Fitbit though.

Also the navigation in the new app is a little funky. The icons really don’t help you to know where to go for what you want to see/do.
  • The concept is a solid one, but Apple Health integration needs work

it’s been said multiple times that this app and concepts are a great idea. it motivates you to do something that you might not normally do during the course of your daily life like climb mount Fuji or scale Everest. so I do love the concept. The problem is with integration on the Apple iPhone and Apple health. no matter how many steps I take during a walking session the counter only appears to account .1 miles of steps.

i’ve seen other reviewer‘s post this but when you read the details it says that it accumulates and posts Apple health information approximately every six hours. so far I do not find that to be the case and there’s a complete mismatch between the amount of walking that I do during the day and the amount of distance posted to the app. now there is a fix for you to do this manually and you can post your distance but you would like to have some evidence on the app that those steps were actually walked for miles run or miles cycled.

I will continue to use the app and should my review change I will update accordingly. I look forward to future updates.

  • Virtual Challenges

A bucket list item has always been the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Up pops the Conquerer Events and the ability to do Virtual Challenges. What a perfect way to spend the pandemic by completing virtual challenges.

The Camino de Santiago has been completed (480.9 miles) the Great Ocean Road Race (149 miles) has been completed, and the Ring of Kerry (120 miles) is 14 miles from completion. Also signed up for Mt Everest (40 miles) Mt Fuji (46 miles) and Mt Kilimanjaro (60 miles) trifecta next.

The Conquerer app is awesome to keep track of your challenges. It is intuitive, provides postcards whereby you learn a little history about places along the way, and I have to say right here and now, the tree planting for every 20% of challenge completed is a wonderful bonus. Help the environment while helping yourself stay healthy. You can join communities of walkers, runners, cyclists, etc., or you can remain in solitude if that is your thing.

I have referred other friends to the Conquerer Events app and challenges and they have enjoyed as well. I will continue to do the Conquerer Virtual Challenges as we continue through the pandemic. It is my sincere desire that these will continue long after COVID as these are motivational, inspiring and keep me accountable. My Apple Watch tells me I have hit my exercise and move goals for 127 straight days, mostly by running.

Well done Conquerer! Keep up the good work. Go hard, or go home!

  • Goals to take the first steps in changing YOU!

An awesome Virtual Challenge program with rewards that you earn at your own pace. Great platform that offers tracking along the journey and gives great satellite and 360 street views of places around the world. And when you have completed your journey you get a finisher medal to remember your victory! There is also a great social media support group on Facebook with some amazing people from all over the world making their journey to better themselves. This has kick started my old love of running and now in addition to the 4 challenges I have completed in the Conqueror Challenges and the two current ones I am on I have signed up for a series of races the Marine Corps Marathon is sponsoring including the Marine Corps Marathon in October. As a Marine Corps vet that has a couple of bad knees and back from my service this has provided me with an enjoyable challenge to rehab and enjoy running at my own pace for myself. Sometimes it is not about racing against people but the race we must run for ourselves. At the end of the day, I have completed the race and fought the good fight. That begins with yourself! Do it! Challenge yourself and connect with others and support them in their journey! Making a difference begins with YOU!

Keep on going and keep on conquering. Cheers
  • Apple Watch/Health only downside, so many positives!

The app is beautiful and I love seeing my progress on the Challenges. I’m currently on my second one, with more planned. The FaceBook group is an exceptional community of support and encouragement. And they plant trees to celebrate your milestones!!! Which is just a lovely added bonus!
The one downside is the connectivity with the Apple apps.
The app updated with my steps without a problem for the first couple of weeks, and I liked that I could push an update. But if I did a “workout” on the Apple Watch, that did not push through to the Conqueror app. I’ve since just disconnected both Apple Watch and Health apps and do a manual post of my daily steps each night. I get the satisfaction of seeing my distances accrue without the frustration of “when will it post? Why isn’t it posting?”
I highly recommend the Conqueror Challenges as a way to motivate and encourage oneself in one’s fitness and health goals.
  • Love the app but apple watch integration is spotty

So I do a run/walk/cycle every day but almost daily the distance isn't available in the app to post to my challenge. It seems like I have to post it manually more often than not. My iPhone and apple watch are both connected and configured correctly but the distance that shows in the app under the 'post a distance' tab is usually plain wrong. Today for instance I did a two mile run, yet the distance is only showing as 0.1 miles in the Conqueror app, meaning I have to enter this manually again. This app would be great if it would reliably show distances covered. Also, I have referred three people but only one is registering in the app. I watched as the second person registered a challenge using my link. This was a week ago and it still doesn't show in my app.

Edit: I'm not asking for a refund because despite all the minor issues, I want my medals and I need the motivation to get out! Overall, the app and experience is great, the niggles are annoying but not deal-breaking.

  • Enjoying the Conqueror Virtual Challenge app!

I am new to doing exercising through a virtual app, and I am enjoying the Conqueror Virtual Challenge app. very much. I realize that there are many different ways to track exercise progress from different devices with this app, but I am not a high tech person. I have the app on my phone and add my results of my exercises manually to my challenges without difficulty. I have completed 5 challenges in the past month and a half, and am almost done with my 6th one. I enjoy all the features of this app and love being able to see what the actual landscape looks like as I travel on my journeys. The app is easy to navigate and has many other features. Added to this is the responsiveness of the staff that immediately sends out notifications and emails regarding what I have accomplished on my journeys, and mails out the medals earned in a very timely manner. Congratulations on developing a great app!
