So I’ve used this app now and then over the years to reliably look for industry jobs. Now they’ve updated it and looking through server jobs they also have postings for licensed vet techs, CPAs, all kinds of other random jobs. First of all,
I’m here because I’m looking specifically for an industry job. But also, if you are going to add in other jobs, maybe consider the reason I work in the industry is I’m not qualified as a CPA? Or if I was, I’m not working as one for a reason. This was a great app but not so much anymore.
I would love for Poached to add a function to their app where you can send the actual link to friends looking for jobs or send the link to yourself for later. Right now, all you can do is screenshot to share with people.
I find it so frustrating that you can’t save job postings to apply to later. Sometimes I’m checking just to see what’s on there and really wish I could save a posting I find to apply to later.
I think the idea is the app is great, but no one ever responds to applications. You’re better off going in person to apply. They have an “Poached shift” option but because of “high level of interest, they don’t let new users use it. I would highly recommend not using Poached. Use indeed or go in person instead.
As soon as I put personal information such as contact information in the app, I started to get lots of ads for fraudulent employment scams. Not to mention that the aspect of this app that makes it unique from scrolling Craigslist, the shifts aspect, does not seem to function most of the time

If you have additional questions, please reach out to us at support@poached.com.Decent app. They don’t let you filter jobs for part-time/full-time, wages, or tipped positions. When searching, the “current position” is pretty much the only option. The website is much easier to use.

Hello there, you actually can filter for jobs in this manner, but the search needs to be executed first. For example, if you search for "Cook" in Seattle, WA and execute the search you will see different filter options appear above the job tiles. Tap into each filter to adjust them. Thank you for the review and feedback!Why would the app get rid of when the ad was posted? Seems like a waste of time when a lot a jobs won’t even look at your resume if it gets submitted after like 3 days of the ad posting. Just adds the resume to the heaping pile to be overlooked now.

Hello there, while the date text has been removed, we still organize the jobs and shifts by date posted, from newest to oldest.I’ve had this app for a little over a year and I don’t know why but it’s not letting me pick up shifts and has been saying that they’ll look into my account to make sure everything is ok but that has been a little over a month ago and I’m really frustrated and irritated, what’s worse is that they don’t have a customer support button or option or a contact us page!

Hello Madison, as I'm sure you saw via our email after onboarding, we are experiencing high levels of interest in Poached Shifts and we've decided to temporarily pause approvals in Portland and Seattle. As new employers join, we'll approve more workers to fill those shifts. You are welcome to apply for jobs in the meantime. We use Stripe payments for handle shift payouts. They handle all the verifications to set up your Stripe account. Have you contacted Stripe about this issue? They should be able to help you with next steps.
