I can’t wait to delete this app
This app is anti-human! No interaction with vendors about their menu, ingredients, their story, etc. Press some buttons and stand in line. I wouldn’t be surprised if next year there are robots handing out the food.
The main topic of conversation with all the other folks at the festival (when they weren’t buried in their phones trying to work this app) was not about all the delicious food, or the fantastic free music, not even the weather (!) - just how annoying and unnecessary this app is.
Attended the Bite of Seattle 2 days, on the second day ended up bringing food from home to avoid further nonsense with this app and enjoy music and conversation w the other humans .

Gave my friends phones a virus
This app is very glitchy and is no help whatsoever. It was a challenge to just click on a menu and was overall an inconvenience. I had two friends that downloaded the app as well and began to have phone malfunctions and soon started seeing signs of a virus. Do not download this app, it’s no use and could possibly leak viruses to your phone and completely ruin the programming.

Order was LOST on the app
Ordered to get some boba tea during the Bite of Seattle event. Ordered through the confusing app and once I ordered, the app terminated itself and when I logged back in the ORDER WAS LOST.
So I basically paid over priced boba and had to wait an hour to talk to the vendor about it just so we didn’t waste the money.
Vendor was nice enough to comp us for the trouble. This App is trash! This was y’all’s shining moment in Seattle and you blew it. Congrats to the devs and management! You played yourselves and us.

Applying tech where it is not needed
The update appears to have reset the rating of this app with the update a few hours ago. It looks as if the company is preparing for a fire sale. What an annoying experience.
Bite of Seattle Experience
Maybe don’t force everyone to use this app for Bite of Seattle.. The experience felt redundant like why would I order on an app, then wait in a line to scan, then wait in another line to get my food. Bring back just paying with cash and credit cards
Horrendous
Absolutely destroyed the BITE festival. Forced customers and vendors to order through this confusing app. No clear instructions for how to scan. Created so many queues and confusion and longer wait times.
Terrible Design
This app requires you to order and pay in the app (normal, all good), then get into a line to scan your order (?) which then can take any amount of time to come out.
Why the middle step? To be different, maybe, but logistically it was a terrible ordering experience and it caused many backups at food vendors I wanted to try.
You can skip this app unless it’s mandatory for your event. In that case, might recommend skipping the event.

Apple Pay with more steps
It’s Apple Pay with more steps and a terrible user interface. “Favorite” part: they had a community page for people to chat through the app. Lol just take my money, give me food, and let me enjoy the festival.
“Skip the line”
This app offers no line skipping. One might think that the user would 1) order and pay on app 2) receive notification that food is ready 3) pick up your food. This is how all online ordering systems work. Instead you get to 1) order 2) revive a notification that you are now able to “check in” 3) stand in line to check in with vendor 4) once checked in your order starts 5) wait in line to pick up your food. However, this is provided that the app actually works… Payments fell through, orders were lost, time was wasted. I will never attend an event where this app is mandatory. I deleted it the moment I got home.

Bad
Please sell Bite of Seattle to people with brains.
