Overpriced + Confusing (to charge you more)

It already seemed overpriced but decided to use it for my birthday outing. “One day pass” and usage is misleading.

$46 for “Unlimited rides for 24 hrs” is a lie. It changed that you only get 5 rides at 60 min each…

We rode for 60 min, paused the ride, went to beach for less than an hour, resumed ride, rode back to hotel for a total of about 2 hours…

Confusing that you can “pause” vs “end” ride. If you don’t end the ride, you get charged per minute over the 60 min if you have the “24 hour” pass.

We only rode once for total of 2 hours and got charged way more than we would have if we paid by the minute… The pricing to pay by the minute was already inflated/overpriced.

I opened a ticket right after the ride and have waited almost two business days, still no response from their support…

It is a hassle to have to dispute this. Slidr is definitely misleading and not worth it. The app seems simple, but contradicting and not clear enough. We should have rented bicycles the hotel had next to the scooters. (Which would have been 75% cheaper.)

I sent a follow up email to Slidr, I will update after they respond.

Don’t use this app

Don’t use this app. Use something else. I tried using this app and the scooters, I use one and all the sudden I can’t cancel it so it ran up my credit card and made me pay 30 dollars. Only used it for 4 minutes. Tried to stop the ride and wouldn’t let me stop it. “Oops sorry can’t can’t it” over and over again. Now I’m down 35-40 dollars and probably never getting that money back.

They keep your money

Beware. These folks are running a scam they only let you upload in higher increments and won’t let you take your extra $ out once you’re done. Consumer protection violation galore. I’ll be contacting the state AG.

Great company!

Used Slidr for a ride home, was a life savor….will use again and recommend family and friends!

Horrible service

On my first ride the app can’t accurately tell when I am in a parked location. Once it did, it wouldn’t allow me to end my ride, and it continued to charge me. I sent in 6 different reports and they did nothing to fix it. Horrible service, will not use again.

Outdated and glitchy

I could tell that the app was a bit outdated when I downloaded it, but I was visiting a retirement city and didn’t expect to see scooters at all. I was charged a $30 fee for entering a no service zone that was not visible through the app. I like to do the right thing, so I spent an hour trying to get the app to work so I could leave the scooter in its designated spot. I wasted a lot of time trying to fix it only to be charged a total of $62 and some change when the entirety of my rides should have cost less than $15. I sent multiple screen recordings showing that the zones were not visible through the app, but to no avail. I’ve used 10+ scooter app services and this was by far the poorest quality and worst experience.

Owner Michael Trombino is a Public Racist

Commented under a photo of Oprah "but they're so oppressed right?" Leave these MAGAts in the past and don't support bigot businesses.

Update: why would I say this if not true? LOL look at the owners social media presence yourself. Don't support bigots and if your thinking of investing in this company, the owner clearly doesn't have the attitude of "inclusivity" or professionalism, he feels entitled to publicly comment his bigoted views.. at least people used to have the decency to keep them in private.

Response from developer

This is completely false and defamatory. It seems you're quite misinformed about our company and our owner. Making baseless accusations. Slidr is about inclusivity and professionalism. You are not a customer nor have ever used our app or services.

Charges u way more then is told

it charged me $30 to use the cart before I ever got on it without telling me, + the $0.39 a minute which added up to $60 for a 5min ride to the place and the time still went after I paused it which made the money go up to $60 will not be using this again

Response from developer

Hi this is simply not true. The $30 is just a temporary hold on your card, you were not charged $60 as you are insinuating. We looked into your account and you were only charged for the 5 minutes you rented the scooter which came out to $3.29. If you are going to write a review please make sure it is a factual review and not something so outlandish. The scooters are $1 to unlock and $.39 per minute to rent. The hood on your card is returned after you end your ride and is based on how long your bank returns the funds to you. It is released from our payment processor immediately.

Won’t Allow Me to Ride

I deposited money into my account from two different debit cards, and it still says that there’s a problem, even though money was withdrawn from both cards. I’m still waiting for a resolution.

Response from developer

Hi the reason you weren’t able to rent the scooter is because you did not have enough funds available on the cards you inputted. To resolve this issue put a different card on file that has sufficient funds.

So much fun!

Ride slidr scooters when we were on vacation in pompano beach and they were so much fun we had a blast!
