Face recognition

It says face recognition in America documents are not supported, it doesn’t even let me select America I think it’s bug.

Doesn’t accept some payments

So this app is great. You can very easily find a place to stay. And it’s quick to get service animals registered. The only problem is that if you don’t have a credit card or a debit card from a regular bank this WILL NOT WORK. This app should be updated to accept pre paid cards. Including Cashapp and current. Mainly cashapp because it’s well used. Some people can’t open bank accounts so pre paid is all they have. I truly believe that they should give you a general area of where the homes are located. Im near bissonet st, if your from Houston you know it well, but I would have never chosen the place I did. Also the move in fee for anyone is $100 minimum. So you on average need at least $250-$300 to get a place initially. They also will lock you into a 3 month contract for your first place. 12 weeks is the minimum you HAVE TO STAY at your first pad split. If not you would owe TWO WEEKS of BACKPAY. I don’t think that fair especially to new people who are using this app. A lot of nit picks from my end that could be better used. Especially the theee month contract. I think minimum it should be a month not three. Just a bit scam like. That’s all though. If your looking for a place to stay that’s quick and you have a ride to get here it’s amazing.

AN ABSOLUTE JOKE & A SCAM🚫‼️

Like many others here have said, THIS IS ALL A GLORIFIED SCAM. And to be honest, it’s genius. These people charge you a $19 application fee and promise it’s refundable if your application is not approved. I applied for a room that was only $750 for one month, & paid for the $19 app fee. After paying, they denied my app and said “oh you can’t get the room because you’d need a $2500 down payment”?! WTH. Well since they denied my application and denied me the room (bc heck no I’m not giving you $2500 when all I wanted was a one-month room for $750), I asked them for my $19 app fee back (which they said was refundable if rejected). But Lo and behold, customer service responded to me (not in a rush because it was a full 3 days later) that the $19 app fee is non-refundable. It LITERALLY says on the app that they’ll refund it but now they’re saying it’s non-refundable….

So as you can see, these people have found a clever way to collect $19 from everyone who downloads the app. It’s possible you’ll get no return from it & they don’t have to provide you with any real service. Get a million people to do this (go through the “mandatory” sign up process with a $19 app fee), & you’ll have made $19 million. Well played I guess?

Don’t believe the positive reviews - I’ll bet they paid for them or had their team write them to combat the negative ones…

Just in time

I’m happy for the platform because it offers thousands of people who have been impacted in various ways to be able to achieve their goals and dreams. I had some very challenging and unfortunate situations that caused me to seek out ways to quickly find a suitable living space because I had been living from hotels and Airbnb’s due to a stressful family and financial difficulties, but I am grateful and thankful that Pad Split exists and wish every member nothing but the best because life can be challenging and sometimes unfair, so don’t ever give up because you had some difficult things happen in your life. God will always make a way for you. Trust me because He’s doing it right now and has done it many times before.

living at a padsplit in Decatur area owned by Swati and Alex, they are some of the best host/hostess i have had. They are very quick to response to what needs you need and also make it habit to make sure the house is throughly cleaned with services. Recommend 10/10

Customer Service Is Wildly Lackluster

Customer Support Is Horrendous!! Look If Your In A Tough Situation This Is A Quick Fix But I’ve Had My Mail Stolen And Opened By Roomates Food Stolen , Harrassment From Said Roommate And The Customer Support Just DOES NOT CARE ! I’ve Been Fined For Things I Haven’t Even Did And The Dispute Process Is A Joke , So Basically They Can Fine You For Whatever, Whenever. I Urge You To Find Somewhere Else This Is Last Resort Option . I’m Literally Being Forced From This Home

The host will lie about how many people live there

Moved into a house that I thought only had three rooms. The house ended up having eight rooms and the host was using PadSplit and tried to have their own slumlord “luxury “ company as well. I would have never moved into a house with eight people. PadSplit doesn’t care about that.

Be careful if you decide to use them

They are a fraudulent company that tries to hold you to a lease even if you have been with them for over two months. Somehow they tired renewing my agreement and told me I have to stay an additional full month. I had to leave the platform due to the lack of action taken towards black tenants who complied about a racist Padmate . Nothing was done dispute their policy stating they take these kinds of issues seriously. Stay away from this platform at all cost. Not to mention they promised me a refund and when it was all said and done they tried charging me over $600 in rents despite me not renting with them. Stay away! 🏃‍♂️💨💨💨

Horrible Customer Service

Everytime I call customer service it’s always something. I stayed with padsplit and some of the people I stay with is terrible. This whole padsplit experience has been devastating. I’ll never stay in another padsplit ever again ..

They won’t help you

I was placed in a house with rats. The host had no interest in paying for an exterminator. He sent some guy to look at all the rat droppings, and pretend to clean it up. He didn’t spray, he didn’t set traps. The host closed the maintenance ticket. I contacted PadSplit customer service and I requested to be put in a different house. I stated that I would be needing a free week of rent because I do not want to pay a man who just tried to trick us. I was told I need to pay this man before I can be re-located. I wouldn’t have any problem paying him if he was respectful enough to send us A REAL EXTERMINATOR. I told PadSplit I was living with rats and the host isn’t doing anything about it. THEY DO NOT CARE if they place you in a house with rats.
